The book of Judges is a very deep and dark book that shows the disobedience of Gods people and in some instances the commanders in which he sent to command his people. This book is very eye opening to some of the things that took place in the Old Testament that is not talked about in the Church today. Which in some cases is understandable because for many people it is simply to deep to understand what Gods overall reasoning was for this time. It’s a book of the bible that honestly takes several read through to partially understand what the purpose was for this time. The reason being is fairly easy to understand, because both did many things two there people that makes them unworthy to the commanders. Personally I look at Abimelech as the worst Judge out of all of them because of the things he did. He was someone who didn’t care what it took to achieve what he wanted. The first act took place before he was even a Judge he murder all seventy of his brothers in order to become the commander of Gods people. He also was one who was very quick to jump into a battle without thinking about what the consequences could be in the end. His life however came to a end during the battle of Thebaz when he let his pride and ego get in the way of his life. After fighting his way to the tower a woman throws a stone at his head injuring him being the prideful person he was he did not want anyone to know a woman was the way he died so he ordered his guard to kill him with his sword. The next big situation that conflicts the people of God in the book of Judges is the inter-tribal warfare at the end of Judges. This basically leads to the end of the book and shows us that after all of this the Israelites where in much worse shape then they where before all the Judges came to lead Gods people.
