There are thousands of things I love, but vacation is on the number one list. Many times over the years I have taken vacation time; It was only a while back, when I realized how amaz-ing, and the great value it gives the sole and body. There have been times when I felt not wanting to leave my work, whether it’s financial problems or among other things. Other times I thought my work was at a decisive juncture and it wouldn 't get accomplished without me. Going to school is something that children do at a young age. The idea of school is ingrained into children at as early as six weeks of age in a daycare. Vacations aren't always perfect there is always something that goes wrong. At least in my experiences. A perfect vacation to me is when we are all together as a family,which honestly doesn't happen that much. Having a 20 year old brother an 18 year old in post secondary school can make things complicated. Or having a vacation with no,ILLNESS, which can be very,very hard to do!! Over the years, the world has been progressively becoming more stressful, yet teenagers are still expected to be prepared for the future, in a world that they have yet to experience. The students can be told how and why the world works; however, without going out and experiencing life themselves, they can never truly understand or prepare for the future. What do people think about their life purpose? Most of us think about life that is studying hard in order to get a wonderful job, working hard, and getting married. They have dreamed of one day having an eternal vacation for themselves and not having to work anymore. The traditional people around the world consider that overworking is an essential condition for the early stage of their life. Especially in most of Asian countries, the average workweek is 48 hours. According to the fulltime employment, people work 35 to 40 hours per week to be defined as full-time. If more than that number, that should be considered overworking. Overworking is an important issue because that can lead to some serious consequences. Thus, we should consider work-life balance more seriously.
Summer break should be longer because students can work more, spend time with family members, and students can rest their minds. If summer break were was longer, then students could work more and as long as they wanted to work. Students could get more money when working while on summer break. Students would like working on summer break to get money because they could buy more stuff with their money. Cause the students would have more money from working on their hole summer break.
What are virtual field trips? According to Kirchen (2011) “A virtual field trip (VFT) is a technology-based experience that allows children to take an educational journey without leaving the classroom" (p.22). VFTs can take students all over the world. Teachers have the opportunity to create VFTs that connect to the curriculum. While teachers are able to create their own VFT, there are also trips available for free online. VFTs can be used in any classroom, including early childhood classrooms (grades pre-k to 2nd). Technology does not need to be the most advanced for teachers to be able to implement VFT into their classroom. The world is full of wonders and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, that we take advantage of. Traveling is the ultimate education and it never fails as a teacher. It teaches you things no class can about the world and yourself. Seeing a historical spot and being in the environment it is in teaches you what no text book can. Most people hear about what is happening in the world through the bias not understanding media. However, if you are a traveler the real world influences you in a way the media will never be able to. We understand how the world works with its many cultures and lifestyles. Being a part of and experiencing different cultures broadens your views of the world and changing’s what you think of the world. Having expanded knowledge and understanding about culture is not the only thing travelers have. Finding your true self and learning about who you are is the best thing about being a traveler. There is no better way to find yourself because when you travel you open yourself up to millions of opportunities. Without travel you may be completely unaware of your true persona. Your limits are tested and you are completely out of your comfort zone when traveling. Getting out of the comfort zone helps you grow as a person and see your potential. I have experienced many different cultures that have personally changed myself and my outlook of the world. Traveling has given me the greatest education I know more about the world, cultures, and myself. Being a traveler is a huge blessing in my life I am so glad I am able to travel and see the world. I agree and think that we should not have that long of a summer when we can just have more breaks but shorter. When summer is that long then what is the point of going back to school because we forget everything anyways during that long break. So I believe we should have a fall break during Thanksgiving, a winter break during Christmas, a summer break that’s not as long, and a spring break.
In the article, “Roses underneath Paris” Murat (n.d) writes that “In matters of healing the body or the mind, vacation is a true genius!” A vacation is supposed to be an entertaining and soothing break from a daily routine. However, a poorly planned vacation can end up being a major headache. Vacations is an escape many people look forward to all year. Working adults spend days and months of hard work. As a reward, it is common for these hard working individuals to take a much needed break and be away from the demands and responsibilities of their jobs. Giving oneself plenty of time to plan can be a fun way to build up excitement for a vacation.
