What is literacy? Literacy is seen as a flexible group of strategies and skills that are closely tied to purpose and content. literacy has evolved with a more Morden-day view forward from a simple literacy in print to comprise of new communications practices with cultural diversity, information technology , and linguistic with a critical style of thinking . There are a number of different literacy practices shown to educators and use the term ‘multi-literacies ‘ and ‘literate practices’ to show the different ways that spoken, non-verbal, visual, print, with the use of two or more communications practices.
The Literacy is another skill added to the ability to write and read, rather a skill of the individual ‘s capacity to use those skills to work and shape a course for her or his own life. literacy is added to the skills and knowledge students need to understand , analyse, access and evaluate information, express emotions and thoughts and make meaning, opinions and present ideas, interact and participate with others in school and activities outside the school and beyond. …show more content…
