According to Thomas Blackson, Aristotle’s “Function Argument” consists of detecting “the particular psychological functioning in which happiness consists” (206). In other words, the Function Argument is basically concentrating on the function of the man or the human being. Then, once this function is identified, one is able to pursue happiness. Moreover, Aristotle’s argument underlines the concept of doing good through our actions/behaviors and using logic in the process. For instance, he implies that “that the human function is the soul's activity that expresses reason or requires reason” (Aristotle I; 1098a).
