Veganism for dummies People choose to be vegan for health, environmental, and/or ethical reasons. The main idea of being vegan is to fight against the meat factories and the people that think animals are inhumanly mistreated and cruelly harvested. I am completely against the entire idea of veganism because of the very reason people believe in it. Some of the reasons I don’t agree with veganism is how eating meat is supposedly unhealthy for you, the believed environmental issues that arise, and the supposedly unethical reasons of slaughtering animals. I am using this source because it has several paragraphs on how and why veganism …show more content…

This source is credible because it was made up of scientists that conducted experiments to find these negative side effects. TI is a non-profit organization so I wouldn’t think they would have biased in any way. It talks about all of the pesticides that can get into our water ways and potentially be very harmful to the human body. The symptoms will continually get worse because the bugs keep building resistance to the pesticides making the famers use more and more pesticides. With this new vegan movement of veganism it has caused many people to only eat veggies, making the demand for vegies even higher. To meet this demand many more farms have been created, or expanded. I know people still remember the time of the dust bowl. IF we continue to boosting agriculture then potentially we could have many dustbowls all over.
4. Evidence Based Nutrition I do see why vegans want to fight against on animals or slaughtered. But what vegans don’t understand is meat is an essential part of our diet. Yes we can survive without it but if you compare a 60yr old vegan to a 60yr old regular dieted person, you will see how much of an impact not eating meat has on the body. Eating meat is not only heathy for you but humans are made for it
