Jersey Shore is American reality TV show that follow the lives of eight random roommates spending their summer at the Jersey Shore. All eight members of the cast consist of young Italian “Guido’s” who drink alcohol uncontrollably, party, have sex, and fight. The show began in 2009 and since its release it has become one of the most popular TV shows, viewed by a wide variety of people. Jersey Shore is essentially a psychological experiment with the hope that bringing eight strangers together would make for an entertainment. The reason Jersey Shore became such a hit is because it is infused with romance, drama and opportunity to live through a group of people we have nothing in common with. Throughout the six seasons romance is a prominent factor of the growing success of Jersey Shore. While many members of the cast develop romantic relationships, the shows the main focus is on Sammi and Ronnie’s unhealthy romance. The common theme throughout their relationship is fighting and hatred, which leads to them breaking up only to eventually get back together. From drunken arguments/ fights to nearly everyone hating each other in the house at some point, Jersey Shore seems to have it all. There’s something about watching drunken guys or girls fight that is both humorous and entertaining. Drama seems to drive this fast pace show leading to no dull moments throughout. Every episode seems to take another turn leaving the viewer to want more. I believe the reason why people enjoy the drama infused during the show because it almost makes them feel better about themselves. People seem to enjoy watching a train wreck of idiotic drama because like the cast everyone has their own struggles in life and by seeing their problems on national television it reiterates that no one is
