For years, people have been at odds with the topic Eternal Security. Many believe that a person can lose his or her salvation while others believe a person cannot. The topic has frustrated the hearts of many people in the past as well as in the present. Eternal Security is a controversial topic that people have studied and debated for years. Many people do not believe in “once save always saved.” Some believe that people receive salvation, but they also believe they can lose their salvation. In other words, they believe there are conditions to maintain salvation.
Salvation is God’s grace through Jesus Christ to those who believe. God’s plan of salvation was only through Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross. Salvation is God’s gift to those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. The moment a person accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that person is saved through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Some people think they will go to Heaven because God is too good to send anybody to hell. Other people say that nobody knows for sure where a person is going when he or she dies. Many of these puzzling questions have left people wondering about their salvation. Today, many people are left with the question “Can a person lost his or her Salvation?”
II. Arguments against Eternal Security
Many Christians have their ideas and theories about Eternal Security. They are convinced that a person can lose his or her salvation. They believe Christians should work in order to keep their salvation.
When judgment day comes there is nothing anyone can do to determine their fate only god. God doesn’t just look at that moment but rather your entire lifespan. God views your most caring moments to your most selfish moments, throughout life people have a choice to repent and ask for forgiveness for all their sins. Christians answer the question of what happens to us when this life is over by their beliefs in heaven and hell. If a true believer has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and led their life by the Bible and the laws of God, they will go to heaven once their earthly body dies. All are tormented and tortured, in isolation from God, without any hope of mercy or relief (Robinson). Many Christians believe that when a person dies, they enter into complete oblivion – a state of non-existence. They remain in dormancy. At the time of the second coming of Jesus, the dead are resurrected and judged. Those who have been saved while on earth will be given special bodies and go to Heaven, unlike the unsaved who will go to Hell for eternal punishment (Robinson).
Jesus is God's solution for our salvation. In Genesis God spoke for the first time about Messiah, who will rebuild the relation between God and man. Messiah came and died, carries out the God's plan of salvation. Jesus suffered for our sins and died in our place.
Over time different beliefs surrounding the mystery of life after death have accumulated in different religions, societies and history. Undeniable by all as an inevitable fate , is the definition has changed over time . Exactly what happens in life after death ? Is there a difference in the qual there is a heaven and a hell ? Some view their Christian liberty as a license to sin. As Bible-believing Christians, we know this is absolutely not the case! Indeed, we are saved by grace, and not through our good works. But what happens when a Christian falls from the path, into his old ways? A Calvinist would say that a true believer cannot lose his salvation, while an Arminian would say that one can lose his salvation (Dunham 41). The assumption is all professing Christians want salvation. Salvation is obtained when you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God sent His only son, Jesus to die for your sins and God raised him from the dead . (Romans 10:9-10 KJV) By this confession, you are saved from the penalty of sin, from the power of sin, and from the presence of sin.
Temptations are one of life’s most riveting tests or enticements that we face diurnal. Moreover, it causes us to yearn for something that we do not necessarily need or it causes us to sin. Furthermore, if we give into temptation, we may be blissful, but it will only be ephemeral. It is because of “The Fall of Man” that sin is second nature for us, which in turn makes it facile to give into temptation. In other words, as the verbal expression goes “we were born in sin and live therein.” As a result, our temptations can either make us or break us. The Bible states in Romans 7:19 that “For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do” (King James Version). Strictly speaking, albeit we aspire to do good, because of our sinful nature, it becomes a struggle. However, it is for this reason, our nefarious nature that God sent down his son from Heaven, to give us hope. My definition of hope is “a positive anticipation of God’s promise.” It is this hope that gives us a reason to live, a reason to go on and vigor to surmount these temptations. Moreover, it is his death, burial and resurrection that gives us the hope of his saving grace. Nevertheless, despite the fact that hope is inexhaustible, temptation is inevitable, therefore, the Gospel according to Matthew 26:41 states” Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (King James Version).
