Are we distracted by technology? In our world today, technology is all we know. Whether we are at work, school, or simply at the grocery store some type of technology is present. We do not always realize how often we actually come in contact with different types of technology until we are prompted to do so but ask yourself this question, how many hours during your day do you spend using some type of technology? Most of us will be shocked at the number we are able to come up with. Although technology is becoming a part of our daily lives, we should be cautious as to how much time we waste with technology due to the possibility of it causing medical issues, preventing us from achieving the things we need to throughout a day 's time, and increasing our worry about what is going on around the world. Yes, technology has allowed our society to make great advances in many areas, and no one could argue that it has made life more convenient. Each year there are more and more vehicle accidents caused by either texting and driving or talking and driving. In the car we believe it will only take a second to reply, but that one second could cost one life or numerous lives. More and more people are being diagnosed with arthritis or wrist problems due to their time spent texting on a phone or even playing a game on a tablet. Computers today have been one of the main sources for neck and back pain. Too much time spent straining to look down at a computer screen can put a negative force on the back and neck causing serious pain.
