Annotation: Due to the fact many companies have expanded their operations internationally, this article investigates a valuable aspect of Six Sigma: how the application of the process is influenced by culture and how it influences cultures. The application and execution of Six Sigma vary based on a culture’s orientation, specifically on how companies focus on hard and soft savings and the organizational scope of projects. Therefore, these findings demonstrate how Six Sigma directly influences the general environment of an organization. Although all three of the major factors are crucial to the success of Six Sigma, the discussion of the project manager and project management are the most applicable factors in organizational design. In order to effectively implement Six Sigma, organizations must effectively design their organizational structure to empower the project manager to properly manage projects. There are many people that benefit from Lean Six Sigma which include mainly customers, suppliers, employees, and also stockholders. Lean Six Sigma is a way for businesses to improve, to reduce waste and to become more successful. In the future, more and more organizations will adopt or practice some of the Lean, Six Sigma, or both in order to stay competitive in today’s market.
