Abstract The two articles that I found is related to working with client stand outside the norms. In this paper I will explain why it is important to be culturally competent working with the different types of clients. The only way that most Deaf people will get their way to cope with the norms. As a social worker working with the Deaf is understanding them in the counseling context. Understanding what Deaf really means to you doesn’t always match up what Deaf clients will tell you. Because of that, Deaf have their own variety of Deafness. Were they culturally emerged into the deaf community or were they denied of their own deafness because of their family believed in that deafness is a sin. When working with Deaf Clients of all sorts, Deaf clients requires a special kind of knowledge, skills, values and considerations in the different ethics. The competencies are slightly different than what you are working with the norms. There are some things that are kept in the dark about the terminologies that are use for mental challenges such retardant. Also, this article explains how loves one is afraid to love them unconditionally. They don’t know to give them the best services and that is disheartening. The term disabled means to me that the body don’t have all the functioning parts. Being mentally challenged can be challenging. Social worker is put in place to serve them the best possible life if possible. But there is that one thing that are always a barrier, the stigma in the society. One of the client who is working a social worker have dealt of feeling the low because he has been classified as disabled would say that people around him, he feels that they are saying that he is stupid. It disheartens to hear that not only from the client but the norms. Since there are different levels of disabilities, some are born with it or some come across the disability later in life. Depending on the situations, people make disabilities look the same. They think that they are unable to get a job, live a functional life with the norms or do anything period. That is not entirely true because of the level of the ability to do
