Who was Anne Frank and why was she so important to the world? Anne Frank was a very lonely girl who told her story through a diary, she inspired people and still inspires people today. She was a very intelligent girl for her age, she was too young to have to learn all it took to survive the war. She was a brave girl at her age, but she should not have had to be.
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929, along with her sister being born three and a half years earlier. Her parents, Otto and Edith Frank, married and they settled in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1933 Adolf Hitler took over the German government, the family of Anne look for an escape route. Anne’s family were Jewish which was a religion that Hitler did not like very well. He ordered Jews not be let into certain places. Jews were not allowed in the same schools as others, therefore Anne and her sister Margot had to be transferred to a school of all Jewish kids.
The family moved to The Netherlands hoping the conditions were not as bad there, they were in luck the conditions were better there, but a long way from being great. It did not stay well there for very long, the Franks were hoping that The Netherlands would stay out of the war, but no such luck. When World War II started on May 10, 1940, German troops invaded. The Netherlands surrenders and was occupied. The family is in trouble once again.
Otto, Anne’s father, sets up a business in Amsterdam and the family finds a home in Merwideplein. The war threats increase, so the family tried to migrate to England and the U.S.A, but all of their attempts failed. The family tried once more to migrate to the U.S.A, but once again they fail. They decide going into hiding in their best chance of surviving.

The Anne Frank House becomes a museum in 1960. “Otto devotes himself to working for human rights and respect after the war,” (“Anne Frank”). Anne Frank was my age, 15, when she was murdered by Nazis during World War II. I can’t even fathom what she must have gone through in the months before her death. Through her diary, one can understand the hardships of the Jewish people in Nazi Germany occupied countries
Some office people would bring food and other things to them. Two years later, the Nazi’s discovered the families. Only Anne Frank’s father survived the camp and the Holocaust. In June 1944, the Nazi’s started to lose the war.
Sina Salemian Salemian 1 HS English 2;Period 3 Ms.Matthews January 10, 2014 Anne Frank During The Holocaust Anne Frank is a strong young girl that lived during the Holocaust in Amsterdam, Germany. She lived in a very bad time during the Holocaust, where she either had to hide or go to a concentration camp. Anne Frank is a normal girl that should be going to school and not be in hiding from the Nazis and should not have to take the sacrifices of having no friends, no ability to be free and to express her religion. I consider Anne a hero because of all the dedication to staying free and not having to be under a dictatorship.
“I Want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people even those who I’ve never met, I want to go on living even after my death!” (from a Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank). This quote has a lot of meaning because she wanted to be remembered and I am now writing and telling about her eighty one years later. Anne Frank is a hero because she was a spirited young Jewish girl that had to go into hiding at the age of thirteen.
The diary of Anne Frank, written over a two-year period, tells about her life while she and her family are in hiding in Holland. They are staying in a secret attic of the office building where Mr. Frank used to work in order to escape from the Nazis during World War II. During their stay in the annex, they are supported by several people in the office building, who risk their own lives to insure the secrecy of the Jewish hideout and to provide them with food and basic supplies. Much of Anne's diary tells about the daily routine of the occupants of the attic.
Throughout history, the human race has had to go through many horrible things. Famines, diseases, and war have always been present where there are people. However, a great thing about people is that we try to learn from our mistakes. The Holocaust was a horrible time in history and it should not be forgotten. The individuals involved in this experience went through awful things and it is crucial that people learn about this harsh time. In order to prevent a massacre like this from ever happening again, we must continue to teach future generations about the severity of this time. Remembering and memorializing the Holocaust by Holocaust Museums, Holocaust Ceremonies, and Holocaust victims are great ways because each of them support and keep the Holocaust in our thoughts.
Anne dairy opened so many doors for journalists and many others. They have a diary of a real end of the Holocaust in their hands. Anne accepted you can still have fun while you're in hiding. A quote from Anne Frank is ‘’You could not do this, you could not do that.
As a matter of fact, The Museum of Tolerance located in Los Angeles has an exhibit dedicated to Anne Frank. The Anne Frank exhibit contains the life of a young girl and her family that are living in hiding with her during the Holocaust. Furthermore, the Museum of Tolerance is a fascinating place to learn about the holocaust because it really shows you the cruelty that humans do in this world. The Museum of Tolerance teaches you about genocide, Anne Frank, the Holocaust, and life during WWII. Additionally, one thing that I learned about Anne Frank as I read her diary was that, you must cherish time while you have it, because one day it will run out when you least expect
With the rise of Hitler, Otto Frank, Anne’s father, moved his family to Amsterdam in order to escape the escalating persecution of Jews. Anne attended Amsterdam's Sixth Montessori School and throughout the 1930s experienced a normal childhood, free of anti-semitism. For her thirteenth birthday, Anne received the diary that would encase her everlasting story. On July 5th, 1942, Anne’s sister, Margot, received a notice to be deported to a work camp, leaving no choice but to go into hiding immediately. The Secret Annex, their place of hiding, was located in Otto’s Amsterdam office....
The Holocaust is a traumatic history. About six millions of Jews got killed during this period of time. Holocaust is a history of anti-Semitism in Europe, anti-Semitism gained their strength after World War One, Germany had lost the war, so the German people blame the Jews for losing the war, and the Jews became the scapegoat. So Anne Frank is one of those Jews who got discriminate during the Holocaust. She went to hiding with her family, and the diary she wrote during her hiding time remained after she got killed in the camp. Her diary was published after then, and in her diary she had state it “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” I totally agree with her in this statement.
Anne Frank was a 13-year-old Jewish girl who was thrown into one of the worst periods in the history of the world; the Holocaust. Though she went through awful things that many people will never experience, she always kept the faith that there was still some good in everyone. She once said, “Despite everything I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Her diary, which she kept while her family was in hiding from the Nazis, shows the triumph of her spirit over the evil in the world even through the pain of adolescence. The Franks and Van Dans were hiding and they suffered many hardships, mentally and physically. Many people in Anne’s situation would have become bitter and resentful, but Anne never would despair.
During the Holocaust, Eva described how she felt and what was happening during the Holocaust in her diary. Her diary showed how she knew about her fate from the earliest moments. This was because her friend Marta and her family had been deported. Eva knew that Marta and her family had been killed. Eva even heard that children were not spared. She was afraid that her time will come. Even though Eva was killed during the Holocaust, her diary will still remain. By publishing Eva’s diary, the Holocaust will never be
Born on June 12, 1929, Anne Frank was a German-Jewish teenager who was forced to go into hiding during the Holocaust. She and her family, along with four others, spent 25 months during World War II in an annex of rooms above her father's office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. During the two years in hiding which Anne refers to as "a time when the ideals are being shattered and destroyed, when the worst side of human nature predominates, when every one has come to doubt truth, justice and God (pg.327)." Anne kept a diary that was given to her by her father, Otto Frank, on her birthday. Between June 1942 and August 1944, from Anne's thirteenth birthday until shortly after her fifteenth birthday, Anne recorded her feelings, her emotions, and her thoughts, as well as the events that happened to her. "…[I]deas, dreams, and cherished hopes rise within us only to meet the horrible truth and be shattered…yet in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart (pg. 327)."
Annelies Marie Frank was born on June 12, 1929, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Because of their Jewish faith, Anne Frank and her family fled Nazi Germany for the Netherlands in 1933 to avoid persecution. After Germany invaded the Netherlands in 1942, the family spent two years living in a small hidden room in Amsterdam in order to elude capture by Nazi occupation forces. They were discovered in 1944 and arrested. Anne was sent to a concentration camp, where she died the following year. Her famous diary of the two years she spent in hiding was later found in the room where she and her family had lived. Anne’s father, Otto, had taken the family to Amsterdam, where he had established a small food products business. When Germany invaded The Netherlands in 1940, the Franks once again became subject to escalating anti-Semitic persecution. In 1941 Anne was required to transfer from a public school to a Jewish school. Secretly, Otto Frank prepared a hiding place by sealing off several rooms at the rear of his Amsterdam office building. A swinging bookcase hid the rooms Frank concealed.
On June 12, 1929, at 7:30 AM, a baby girl was born in Frankfort, Germany. No one realized that this infant, who was Jewish, was destined to become one of the worlds most famous victims of World War II. Her name was Anne Frank. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank and B.M. Mooyaart, was actually the real diary of Anne Frank. Anne was a girl who lived with her family during the time while the Nazis took power over Germany. Because they were Jewish, Otto, Edith, Margot, and Anne Frank immigrated to Holland in 1933. Hitler invaded Holland on May 10, 1940, a month before Anne?s eleventh birthday. In July 1942, Anne's family went into hiding in the Prinsengracht building. Anne and her family called it the 'Secret Annex'. Life there was not easy at all. They had to wake up at 6:45 every morning. Nobody could go outside, nor turn on lights at night. Anne mostly spent her time reading books, writing stories, and of course, making daily entries in her diary. She only kept her diary while hiding from the Nazis. This diary told the story of the excitement and horror in this young girl's life during the Holocaust. Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl reveals the life of a young innocent girl who is forced into hiding from the Nazis because of her religion, Judaism. This book is very informing and enlightening. It introduces a time period of discrimination, unfair judgment, and power-crazed individuals, and with this, it shows the effect on the defenseless.
