Movie Talkers Have you ever been so focused in a movie that you actually feel like you are in the movie? But then two rows down, people start talking obnoxiously, and you take your focus off the the movie and on to the people talking. During movies there is always that one person or group in the movies that won't care that they are ruining the movie for the other people. People pay money to go to the movies, so if someone is talking loudly the whole time and you can't focus on the movie, the people just wasted $5 a person to hear a person talk the whole movie. If someone was in a movie and someone starts talking and they will not stop, go to the front desk and of the theatre and tell the workers/manager that someone is ruining your movie experience,
The Muppet Movie is a highly self-aware musical comedy that challenges the concept of reality in the background of the film while delivering a classic road trip comedy that is highly reflective of 1970’s culture. The film begins with the muppets entering World Wide Studios to watch a screening of their first film, The Muppet Movie. The audience then focuses on the frame film that the characters are watching, which tells the story of how the muppets “more or less” met. The story begins with Kermit the Frog singing the opening number, The Rainbow Connection, alone in his swamp when a lost man advises him to go to Hollywood and become a star. For years directors have been making sports movies that audiences love. Movies like the Gavin O’Conner film “Miracle”, based on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, and the Richard Linklater comedy “Bad News Bears” have stood the test of time and remain fan favorite movies. However, “Southpaw”, which premiered in 2015, is the next generation of sports films. The movie follows lightweight boxer Billy Hope as he struggles with the fame, fortune, and tragedy that come with being the reigning champion. Hope loses everything and must navigate a tough road before he can return to the ring. Unfortunately, critics didn’t agree on this film; some gave it great reviews, and some gave it terrible reviews.
The audience does not really understand what is happening and think the “talkie” is completely untrue. After, the film ends people start saying ‘talkie” idea will never be successful and that it is just a waste of time. The audience has a huge influence on a film considering they are the ones watching and paying to see the film. Film and theater actors influences the audience because fans might want to act or dress like the actor.
It is a cool, misty night, and after a miserable day, you decide to treat yourself to a movie. You are at the movie theater; you open the double-doors swiftly and smell the delectable-popcorn lathered in butter. You approach the desk; the employee welcomes you with a slow-grin and asks “Can I help you?” You proceed to choose the latest horror movie, Silence of the Lambs….you give the next employee your ticket to validate it and be admitted into the theater; with a crooked smile the employee makes a vigorous rip and hands you back your ticket. Then the employee softly utters, “Enjoy your movie!” You head towards the right hall; as you walk down, you notice the lights begin to dim….You finally reach the theater; you get comfy in your seat; the lights darken and transform the theater
The movie Doubt is set in a private Catholic School in 1960s. Sister Aloysius is the principal of the school, and Father Flynn is the clergyman in the church. While the movie deals with some moral dilemmas such as doubt versus certainty, rigidity versus openness and so on, the central theme of the story pivots on accusation on Father Flynn of child molestation. The story has a hanging ending where Father Flynn is proven neither guilty nor proven innocent. Based on the contents of the movie and my own analysis, I believe that certainty plays a bigger role in accusations and I believe that Father Flynn had been falsely blamed and I am also against the rigidity of the society.
The Truth: In the early and mid-twentieth century, the debate team at Wiley College was extremely successful. Led by Melvin B. Tolson, the team consisted two main debaters and one “anchor man” who memorized both the affirmative and negative arguments for each topic. At one point in the debate team’s history, 14 year old James Farmer Jr. played this role. He was already an experienced public speaker when he enrolled in Wiley College, after winning scholarships based on oratorical contests, despite his young age. The movie Smooth Talk is based off of Joyce Carol Oates’ story “Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been.” Smooth Talk is a movie that revolves around the actions of a curious fifteen year old and an extremely concerned mother. The main character, Connie, is a young girl that seems to like to pretend to be someone that she is not. At home she is a typical teenage girl, but when she is out with her friends it is almost as if she is an adult with the way that she dresses and acts. Connie’s mother treats her harder than her older sister June because she feels that Connie is following in her rebellions ways just like when she was younger.
In the “Rudeness at the Movies" Bill Wine was told about there are some rude things happened around him in the theatre. First, a woman who was behind him was bring her six-month-old twins to the theatre. This women talking about the ending before the movie start, and also one of the twins was wailing during the movie. All these things happened were just because she want to save babysitting cost. Then, another woman sitting front Wine was spritzes malodorous perfume, and her husband eat popcorn with a big noise. Wine thinks watching TV at home more at will than watching movie in theatre. People come to the theatre waa for a better atmosphere of watching movie. but these rude behavior influence the other audience watching experience. Wine said"
The Interrupters is a 2011 film directed by Steve James that speaks volume on inner city violence. This film accurately portrays urban life and issues that arise from it. With brilliant cinematography, this film describes social problems, social norms, and inner city culture and demonstrates it through a strategically written and shot film. The Interrupters was informative, eye opening, touching, and relevant to today’s time. This is true because there is perhaps an even larger violence epidemic in the United States than when the film came out.

When we first got to the movie theater, it was around 4:20 in the afternoon. The movie didn’t start until 4:45 so we sat in the car for a few minutes. I noticed that were only a few other cars in the parking lot. When we walked up to the ticket booth there was a sign saying to buy our tickets at the concession stand so we proceeded to go inside. The lobby featured a game room to your right as you enter and a large concession stand. The tickets were at matinee price which is seven dollars. This is only two dollars cheaper than the regular price for admission. I decided not to buy any snacks due to being familiar with the cinema’s prices. One of my friends spent around twenty dollars on popcorn, a drink , and her ticket. There is a “manager special” at the theater that includes two large drinks...
Going to a movie with friends or family has been a tradition for many for a long time. Globalization has spread Hollywood movies all over the world, and our American movie stars are also the world’s movie stars. Some think that because of the way Hollywood goes about picking movies to produce, many of the mass public are looking for something fresh and new. Because of the “American style” of filmmaking, Hollywood produces profit-making movies with easy to understand stories. But is it right to flood other cultural and countries with our sometimes-biased movies? Is Hollywood replacing the cultural identity of many groups of people?
Regardless of the barriers that plague the industry or the other mediums emerging, the film industry continues to have a special place in the hearts of many today. The film industry sparked a change in culture and society dating back to when it first started in the 1920s. There were a large number of people going to the movie theaters during this time, more people even went to the movie theater than the church on Sundays during this time (Weinbrenner 2011). With so many people watching movies every day, the way people perceived the world had changed based on the movies that they had watched. Movies had caused the people who watched them to believe that whatever they saw on the screen is rational and realistic (Weinbrenner 2011). This changed how the behaviors of people were perceived in society.
