In film class, we watched a movie called Back to the Future directed by Robert Zemeckis. The movie is a 1980s sci-fi movie that takes place in California. The movie is about traveling through time in a modified car and the main character meets his younger parents. The main character, Marty McFly needs to have his parents to fall in love, or he won't be born in the future. Back to the Future is a sci-fi movie that was released on July 3, 1985. Back to the Future is a science themed movie, and everything that happens is fake, which making the movie genre sci-fi. The first example of sci-fi in this movie is the whole meaning of time travel. The definition of an action movie is a genre in which the main character /s end up in a series of challenges that typically include violence, extended fighting, physical feats, and frantic chases. This movie fits the genre of action because of the whole time traveling situation. The scenes of time traveling make the audience feel like the time traveling situation won’t work as expected and everything will go wrong. This movie makes the audience feel like they are on edge during the movie and don’t know what to expect next. Another example is when Bully Biff beats up and fights Marty and George McFly for talking to his girl. The fight scenes make it seem like Billy will always win, but the people that Billy is trying to fight, always win. The last example is when Marty tried to save Doc’s life towards the end of the movie. That scene was packed with all sorts of action, and the audience thought Doc actually died and that Marty would have been shot at as well.
