De La Salle Lipa is well known for its course Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. De La Salle Lipa produces high-quality Accountants. Also, De La Salle Lipa has a high rating in the CPA Board Exam which makes this school shine. Students must need to pass the qualifying exams and must have a minimum average of 2.50 in their GPA. In order for the students to pass the said course, they must apply an effective learning style.
Different learning styles are used by students depending on their preference. Learning styles are used by students by how they are likely to learn best. Some students are flexible enough to use more than one style and improve their academic performance. Some students fail to apply their preferred learning style because of some factors. On the other hand, some students also apply their preferred learning style successfully because of some factors too.
There are different ways for a student to learn. Some students can learn by means of charts, graphs, and pictures. These students are visual learners. Some students also are auditory learners. These students learn through listening to discussions and reading. And lastly, some students learn by doing. They are the kinesthetic learners. Students can choose one or more learning style that would suit them best. A combination of these is also possible.

Learning style has an important place in the lives of the individuals. Knowing one’s learning style can lead to success for the reason that they can integrate their learning style in the process of learning making it easier for them to learn (Biggs, 2001). Also, being an effective problem solver is a fruit of identifying one’s learning style. It is important that a student engage in education which suits their own learning style. A person educated in an area that do not have a relationship to their learning style, may lack confidence and may be less successful. This supports the goal of this paper which intends to prove that kinesthetic style is the best style in BS Accountancy program. Knowing one’s learning style also provide information to the individual as to why they learn differently from others. It helps to control the learning process.
A big component of my learning style is hands-on experience; learning while doing. This usually involved someone with more experience instructing me as I performed the task. Through the hands-on approach, I picked-up the knowledge and gained proficiency as I went along. My learning style also involved standard classroom instruction, which usually meant listening to lectures and taking notes. My note taking was not the best so in order to make up for what I lacked in note taking, I would read the textbooks repeatedly until I understood what I was reading. People have different learning style depending on how each person learn best based on interest and situation they are under. I am personally more visual and sensory in practical world than the theoretical matter. However, I can manage to learn both ways depending on what kind of information I am gaining and how it is presented to me. Educational practitioners have long stressed that optimal instruction requires diagnosing these individual styles and designing instruction accordingly. It is based on two fundamental flaws that I give the following rebuttal: 1) there appears to be no credible scientific evidence establishing learning styles exist (Riener & Willingham, 2010), and 2) assuming [1], it must be therefore true that people can learn in a variety of ways outside of one particular learning style. Learning methods simply mean a person’s natural desired way of take in, managing and memorizing new content and skills. There are three major models that look at the way on how a person learns best including: auditory, visual, and sense of touch. Auditory is when a person learns through conversation such as listening and talking. Visual is when a person learns through imitating such as observing and copying. Sense of touch is when a person learns through physical actions such as movement and touch. Different learning methods are being taught by teachers to teach mathematic skills to 2nd graders in today’s classroom, but only certain learning methods can enhance the learning experience for the students. Introduction For the past four years, many accounting clerk students have performed at a mediocre level at the T.A.Marryshow Community College. Consequently, the following questions arise: Why do students perform poorly in an introductory accounting course? Is it because they have not mastered the foundation skills in High school or is it because of other factors like family problems, learning disabilities and poor lecturing by teachers? I am applying for admission to the Ph.D. program in accounting because I want a career in the research and teaching of accounting. I have wanted to pursue a PhD in accounting since I was a college sophomore about 25 years ago. A PhD in accounting would provide me with opportunity to fulfill my life-long dream of involving in teaching and play a positive role in the lives of my students the same way my teachers have played in mine. Moreover, it would allow me to be involved in research that advances accounting and information systems in decision making, internal control, and auditing and assurance services.

Frequently, most of the institutions responsible for educating professionals fail to evolve as rapidly as the professional practice itself (Bedford et al. 4). In every way, accounting is expanding and in order for the future to have competent accountants, accounting education must expand as well. Major changes occurring in the world of accounting include the expansion of services and products, changes in competition, an increase in specialization, and an increase in and an advancement of technology. It is up to academic institutions to find proactive ways in which to prepare students for such changes. When reviewing these factors there will be a sense of when the students responses are more consistent and help a teacher figure out when a student learns the best and how they learn as an individual. There are six different things that could affect the learning of a student: brain processing, senses, physical needs, environment, social needs, and emotional attitudes (Creative learning,1997).

Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. Thought out our lives, we are faced with many different learning experiences. Some of these experiences have made a better impact than others. This can be attributed to everyone’s different multiple intelligences or learning styles. A persons learning style is the method though which they gain information about their environment. As a teacher, it is our responsibility to know these styles, so we can reach each of our students and use all of the necessary methods.
Each person has his or her own style of learning. Learning styles include visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. In the questionnaire, I learned that I am very much a visual learner. This reflection will show what I have learned about my unique learning style and how understanding learning styles of the children I teach will be helpful as I become a teacher.
