The Wallan has been called a “friendly community” by members of the community, and it has good access to education.

Diane, mother and member of Wallan, says “I am building a house in Wallan and I like wallan a lot, its peaceful it’s quiet it has everything you need.

Its not too far from the city but in saying that i think it needs to upgrade a lot of perspectives for the youth there is a lot of boredom here. Its not really a lot that a teenage person could do here”

Samuel an agent at Wilsons adds that “its actually quire a nice, respectful community which is actually quite enjoyable; its quite a nice place to work in”.

So even though Wallan is 45 km from the central business district of Melbourne it's actually one of the easiest places to get to the central of the city.

At peak hour and not at is peak hour traffic any where into the city. You can get to the city in peak hour in an hour, and non peak hour three quarters of an hour.

In places like Brighton which is only like 12 km out of the city it can take longer than that to drive to the city in peak hour. The train is pretty good it is about 48 minutes to the city it runs express a lot of the
