I sat there in silence not knowing how to react. My friend had always seemed so put together but actually had a distressing secret biting at her soul. How would you react if your best friend revealed to you that her grandmother had an incurable disease: Alzheimer’s? I knew almost nothing about this disease and felt useless giving false hope.
