Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disease. It is chronic, progressive, degenerative neurological disease of the brain. This will lead to deterioration in cognitive and decline in the ability to function physically. The number of patients will be greatly increased as people live into their 80s and 90s. Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most common forms of dementia. The cause of Alzheimer disease is unknown, but inherited is possible. People with Alzheimer’s disease have a higher concentration of aluminum in the brain than normal person, but the effect is unknown. The life expectancy of a senior who has Alzheimer’s is reduced 30% to 60%.

The treatments cannot end the deterioration of brain cells in Alzheimer’s disease. As per the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, they have approved five drugs that can temporarily delay the worsening of symptoms for about six to 12 months on average. Approximately 90 experimental therapies targeted at slowing or stopping the progression of Alzheimer’s and potentially changes its course. Although the lack of treatment for the disease, studies have consistently shown that the active medical management of Alzheimer’s and other dementias can significantly improve the quality of life through all stages of these diseases for all individuals and their caregivers. As per a study from Columbia University Medical center, people who eat 1 gram of omega-3s daily had lower levels of an unhealthy protein linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Fish and nuts are great choices for omega-3s and good for promoting brain. Unhealthy saturated food as meats, butter, and oily food should avoid consuming. These unhealthy foods can contribute the buildup of fatty deposits in the arteries and block blood circulation. Diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart diseases and vascular diseases are known risk facts for Alzheimer’s and dementias.
