The Advantages of being a Grade 8 Student
There are many excellent things about being a grade 8 student, you go through many experiences. Grade 8 prepares you for your hefty years in high school. You 're the oldest students in the school now. The reason why grade 8 has so many advantages to it is because you get to go to many fantastic trips, make new friends, and learn about things you have never learned about before.
In my opinion the best part about grade 8 are the trips. There is always an overnight trip. All the grade 8’s in our school board go to either Montreal or Ottawa. You usually go there for three days. This is a very great reason to love grade 8 because you have never done an overnight trip and this is your first one

Well, firstly, you 're in grade 8 now so obviously you 're going to learn about advanced things because it 's your last year in elementary school, and who doesn 't like to learn and discover new information? You learn concepts that aren 't academic too. For example, responsibility, organization, how to be more social with others, how to succeed to go through obstacles like challenging subjects, and much much more. Secondly, be prepared to take in a load of work at school and at home. The grade 8 curriculum is advanced and more challenging, you might fail if you fall behind and don 't feel like catching up with your work to redeem yourself. The grade 8 curriculum can be fun too if you keep up with the work you won 't have tons of homework everyday. Finally, one of the best things about grade 8 is that you learn many amazing stuff with your friends with you learning it too. So when you get home, you can discuss all of the cool things that you have learned together, you can test each other about it. Friends can help you get back up when your grades go down. To sum it all up in grade 8 you learn many concepts that will probably stick to you your whole life. Most of the experiences you learn are life skills that will help you in the future, help you succeed in life and help you achieve the life you always

Eighth grade is no exception., and will be very different from 7th grade. As I enter my eighth grade school year, I will be bombarded with a variety of new experiences and challenges such as buddies, academics, and being prepared for high school. One of the most important tasks that is thrust onto me is buddies.
6th grade, and I was saying hello, and now 8th grade has come and it’s gone from introductions to goodbyes as my last days as a middle school student wind down. 8th grade, 8th grade from the opening day to the signing of the yearbooks. This is the year of memories, goodbyes, and regrets. 8th grade and I’m still realizing that there are people in the world that would die to go to a school like this.
For years, parents and educators have debated the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional school calendar, which has long summer vacations for all students.The longer you are away from school, the more you lose what you learned in the previous year. Studies have shown that children who know English as a second language benefit the most from year-round education because during the long summer break, they may not hear English for several months. Long summer breaks is a problem for traditional schools and the solution is to substitute traditional schools for year-round schools.

Deciding what is right for a child may be to a high degree a difficult decision to make. The choice to homeschool or send a child to public school can affect the child for the rest of their life. Many parents decide to send their child to either public school, private school or homeschool strictly because of their beliefs or for the child’s best interest. Typically the best choice is to homeschool the child, because it is far more beneficial in the actuality children get more of the one-on-one attention each child needs, the guarantee of the type of education the child will receive and the assurance that the child shall remain out of harms way.
Their grades let them take the higher classes in school and allow them to have the title of being an intellectual. One of the privileges that come with these good grades is the reward of being put into the high classes like AP’s. Once in these high classes they have the advantages of having the good teachers. Good grades will also give them the opportunity to be a part of groups that will get them ahead. One group in particular is the national junior honor society. Only kids with good grades can get into this society making it highly thought of and elite. As a seventh grade student, I took a science course because it was required. At first I was scared about how well I would do and if I would get a good grade throughout the year. When the school year started, I met my teacher and he seemed really nice and he turned out to be an awesome teacher. I excelled in my science seven class and overthrew my fear of getting poor grades. My seventh grade year was the year I determined what I wanted to go to college for and that would be life science education. As I moved up the scale throughout high school I became a better student, a better athlete, and a better leader. I had the support of my family, my teachers and my friends. This helped me achieve the major goals I had set out for myself.
Eighth grade was one of the greatest school years of my life. This year was full of new experiences, and I have learned so much from them. In English class, we’ve learned a bunch of skills and did numerous activities. We learned about Anne Frank and the Holocaust. We had the opportunity to read many great books, all having a special and unique meaning to them. Elementary school is where most people learn how to interact with peers outside of their families. It is also where you learn how to follow leaders and the directions they provide to you. Without the basics of reading, math, and problem solving, you would not be successful in higher grades. The struggle of catching up may discourage you from trying. This can cause you to drop out or not even attempt to continue on to college. The result may limit your job options and money making capacity, which leads into the second function, economic outcomes. The more education you have, the greater chance you will find the job of your dreams.
