Act Two of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

William Shakespeare, who wrote the novel, Romeo and Juliet. It was one

of his most romantic and successful plays during his time. Act 2 Scene

2 was the most important scene that happened in the play where Romeo

has declared his love to Juliet.

After the gatecrash of the Capulet's party Romeo snuck back in the

Capulet's mansion, for the reason that Romeo fell madly in love at

first sight, with the daughter of his parent's rival.

Romeo trespassed just to find where she thought Juliet could be, I

think it is not a coincidence for Romeo to find her but because of his

soul and heart lead him to hers.

He looked up at her room and Juliet appears. They declared how much

they love each other and ended up exchanging vows, to get married the

next day. Romeo promised to send a messenger to arrange their

marriage.

Without Act 2 Scene 2 the whole play makes no sense. This is the scene

where everyone is waiting for, where Romeo will announce, demonstrate

and give explanation how truly, madly, deeply he adore Juliet.

Act 2 Scene 2 basically tells us how strong his feelings are, as this

will make us understand why they killed them selves at the end.

If these is not acted the whole play will be boring, not a very

interesting story and people would demand for their money back, those

who paid for entertainment at his show.

It is sentimental and exaggerated because Shakespeare wanted to make

his message across, to the audience at a very short space of time. It

got to be extreme so it is well understood, and to prove that the two

young lovers are very devoted with each other, his way of directing

have surely got the audiences full attention.

Shakespeare uses different types of language techniques to show the

lover's feelings by using metaphor, imagery, rhyme, alliteration and

repetition.

"It is the east and Juliet is the sun"

He used metaphor to describe how Romeo loves Juliet.
