Some may think heroism isn’t something we are born with but really it is a virtue that comes with time and patience. Heroism is defined in two short yet very powerful words great bravery. There are multiple traits to an epic hero some which include excellence in skill, strength and courage. Epic heros also value honor and glory and they are very generous to followers but ruthless to enemies. Those who are represented as an epic hero are those who do not only deserve the role for special qualities but they also resemble a true sign of leadership and values that don’t come to everyone. By way of explanation one can’t just become an epic hero it takes time, patience and understanding of the things going on around them and others personal worries or difficulties. Achilles was one of the most valuable warriors on the Trojans and Agamemnon is the commander-in-chief of the Trojan’s. Achilles , whom considered Agamemnon a friend, turned out to be not such a loyal friend. In the middle of battle between the Trojans and the Greeks, Achilles and Agamemnon held an argument with each other disagreeing on the thought of releasing Chryseis back to her father. Due to the fact that the two are arguing during battle, Achilles decides to withdraw himself until him and Agamemnon can make amends. Despite Achilles anger towards Agamemnon, he still continues to battle with the Greeks, only this time he is against Hector. Achilles left the war to because when he tried to convince Agamemnon to give up Chryseis back to her father he refused so Apollo sent a plague upon the Greeks. After meeting Agamemnon during battle, Achilles is granted the things that he was granted before leaving Agamemnon.
