Assignment 2 The character I choose was Abby Sciuto from the show NCIS on the CBS network. Abby is majority of the time an introvert by the way she works in her lab alone, no assistants. She also is an online gamer and besides work, that is where she gets social interactions with people other than her coworkers. Though I do wonder if this has somewhat to do with Abby being raised by two deaf parents that she is not extroverted and is more introverted. Abby is very high in agreeableness this can be seen in the way that she is always worrying about the others she works with, is always kind to majority of people unless they have offended her or someone she deeply cares about. Her lab is also usually in a dimmer lighting and she has pictures of tissues and other forensic items covering her lab walls. And Abby doesn’t like when others come into her lab and touches or uses the items in her lab these items are her material self. Abby’s social relationships are very open and sharing type of relationship, I think it was because she was raised in the deaf society where this is normal social interaction, so Abby doesn’t have the best of filters or high in self-monitoring, so Abby is very open and share almost any information when she is asked. Abby’s is a goth type of person, but an actual spiritual belief is unknown since it is never really talked about or shared to others. Abby is a person that seems to always be her true self in every situation. She has become very comfortable with who she is that she is herself everyday all times of the day, which make Abby have a very high self-esteem about herself. Abby has managed to find a job she loves with people that have become her family. And her self-esteem gets boosted when she receives a Cat Pow! (an energy drink) for doing good work from mainly her boss, sometime other coworkers will bring her one.
