Many small town people know about other people 's business. Like for example if a person got into trouble with the law in the small town. Everyone in the whole town will know about it. In the story, "A Rose For Emily"and by William Faulkner; the townspeople is tell a story about Emily Grierson how her father died, about the fact that, she had an affair with a man named Homer Baron, and how she died bodies in her home. In the story William Faulkner puts his story into many sections, because the person who is telling the story is going by memory so basically going to a flashbacks moves in and out the story. Emily 's hair symbolizes time in the story. After a few years, when Homer disappears, her gets grayer which meaning death. Emily laid in the bed with a dead man and when we the town people broke into her home they found a long gray string on her pillow and she was died right beside Homer 's decayed body. Miss Emily buys Homer 's men values like man 's toilet set with initials on it, men 's clothes and night shirt. This room was kind set up like a little honeymoon 's as if they once was married. She protected Homer 's corpse about forty years and no one in the town knew that Homer 's body was in here home.
