Luke 6:45 states, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” This is very true of Ludwig van Beethoven because what he believed affected his music. Beethoven was an extremely famous composer who helped transition the Classical era into the Romantic era. Composing from age 12 until his death in 1827, his music reflected his character. Although he is often considered a musical genius, which he is, his lack of God, and his lack of a spiritual life centered in Christ, affected his music, his view of life, and how he was remembered. Born in 1770 Beethoven grew up with a great interest in music and his father gave him piano lessons at an early age. Even so, he was never close to his father, probably because of the abuse he endured. When his father became unable to care for his family due to an alcohol addiction, Beethoven felt it was his responsibility to take care of his three remaining siblings and his mother. So, at age 12 he began publishing music to help support his family. Unfortunately, his lack of money was always an issue throughout his life. At age 22...
