My Reaction When I began reading A Modest Proposal, by Jonathan swift, I had a lot of different reactions and emotions. A couple of the things I felt were confusion, disgust. But towards the end of the proposal I tried to not take it too seriously, because obviously this was supposed to be satirical. Overall I found the proposal difficult to read, not only because of the topic, but because of the vocabulary used, and how everything is written out.
