Why would the government kill 3,000 innocent people, just to prove a point? The theory of ‘9/11’ being committed by the U.S. government is absurd, and there is solid evidence to prove it happened, and was indeed by planes hijacked by terrorists. There is evidence of the terrorists, most as early as a month before, being in the United States. From hotel stays, to leases on homes, to flight training classes and purchases of knives and other weapons, according to ABC News. It wasn’t something planned overnight, there was months of time put into it. Conspiracy theorists argue numerous things, such as the buildings could not have collapsed or burned as they did, with just the impact of an airplane, and that planned explosives had to of been used. According to the Guardian, demolition experts know to collapse a building from the bottom, and “considerable work” would have had to go into planting explosives and it wouldn’t have gone unnoticed. The exterior shell was crucial in providing support and once it was penetrated, one floor went …show more content…
The scare and worry in their voices is enough to give anyone an awful feeling. Also, the phone calls from the people in the tower, where they even mention their tower being hit by a plane. A phonecall from the Mirror, “Brian, 29, was struggling to breathe when he tried to ring brother Neal twice. But Neal had just got home from a nightshift and was trying to sleep. Office manager Brian’s message said: ‘A plane crashed into the Trade Center. It’s on fire, and I’m in it, and I can’t breathe. Tell everyone I love them, and if I don’t get out... goodbye.’ For the past eight years Neal has wondered how their chat might have gone.” If that doesn’t make you feel something and believe him, then are you even
The World Trade Center bombing triggered a response from the American government, but that response did not do enough to prevent future attacks against American targets. On February 26, 1993, at 18 minutes past noon, an explosion ripped through the underground parking garage of the Trade Center complex. The bombers rented a van, filled it with explosives and gasoline, and set the fuse,...
The United States was well conscious of this group, and took the threat seriously. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attack. “ By the time Khalid presented his ideas to the Al Qaeda leadership for what would ultimately become the 9/11 operation (known within Al Qaeda as the “planes operation”), and prior to his membership of the organization, he had already demonstrated a keen interest in the use of aircraft for terrorist attacks.” Al Qaeda wanted a way to inflict mass casualties, and using aircraft was the answer. They also knew that they could exploit the weakness of airline security. Khalid used open source intelligence resources to compiled data from various Western aviation magazines, telephone directories for U.S. cities, airline timetables, and conducted Internet searches on U.S. flight schools, flight simulator software and information gleaned from movies depicting hijackings. He also wanted to understand the western culture better as well, that way his operatives could better blend in with the
On September 11, 2001 four passenger commercial jet airliners were hijacked and as a result approximately 3,000 human lives were lost. When asked about 9/11, many can recall exactly what they were doing when they heard the news that a plane crashed into one of the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings and many Americans can tell you how it all unfolded and the reason behind such a travesty. The “official story” provided by officials, and restated by Sofia Shafquat, producer of “9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions” say that “four passenger planes were hijacked and taken radically off course, within an hour, two of the planes had flown into the enormous steel towers of the World Trade Center, creating fires and eventually toppling them” (Shafquat). Soon the American public believed that the impact of the planes and that the fires had gotten so hot from burning jet fuel, that they caused the steel frames of the buildings to give way and implode, falling to the ground into dust (Shafquat). Internal fires take on the responsibility of the official story, though others believe controlled demolition is to blame. Some evidence that debates these two explanations of how the steel towers fell are: the way the buildings collapsed, the properties of steel, and the evidence of molten metal.
The official story of 9/11 is a conspiracy theory in that the government claims 19 hijackers conspired together to hijack four planes and create terror in the world. Four American airplanes were hijacked; two were driven into the World Trade Centers and the third airplane into the Pentagon. The fourth airplane suspected target was the White House, but it was diverted by the brave men and women aboard that hijacked airplane, and crashed the airline jet before it could reach its target. It was like time stood still as America watched through television broadcast these unbelievable and horrifying events taking place. The reports told of the smell the jet fuel, burning flesh, and people jumping out windows to their death to escape the flames. When the two bravura structures tumbling down, rescuers, (police officers, firefighters, and ambulance drivers and techs) were caught in the mast and lost their lives doing their job trying to save lives.
9/11 was one of the United States biggest disasters. Killing nearly 3,000 people including the 19 hijackers that hijacked the planes that crashed in to the two world trade center towers. Many things could have been done differently on the day of September 11, 2001, that could have saved many lives, including the lives of many fire fighters, NYPD officers, and thousands of civilians. The biggest thing that could have been done to stop the attacks is if airport security was much more advanced and more careful with who got on the planes and what they had on them.
Many conspiracy theories have been developed concerning what happened to the World Trade Centers on September 11, 2001, but there are a select few that, similar to the truth, cannot be disproved without quite a bit of effort. One theory is that the Twin Towers were destroyed by controlled demolitions. Another idea of what happened is that planes did hit the towers, but they were remote controlled. A third theory is that Al Qaeda is not responsible for the 9-11 attacks (The Top September 11 Conspiracy Theories, n.d.). And last, but certainly not least, is the theory that the 9-11 attacks were a false flag operation. When considering these theories, there are many different controversial areas that should be assessed to differentiate between fact and opinion.
The attacks that occurred on 9/11 took place on September 11th, 2001. In this devastating event, four different attacks had taken place. Each of the attacks were carried out by terrorists. The group responsible for the attack was Al-Qaeda, a militant Islamist organization that is known to be global in present day. The group itself has a network consisting of a Sunni Muslim movement that aims to make global Jihad happen. Furthermore, a stateless, multinational army that is ready to move at any given time. This terrorist group focuses on attacking non-Sunni Muslims, those who are not Muslim, and individuals who the group deems to be kafir. Ever since the late 1980s, Al-Qaeda has been wreaking havoc all around the world. The leader of the group once being Osama bin Laden. Three planes were bound for New York City while another plane headed towards Washington, D.C. which was supposed to take out the U.S. Capitol. Two of the airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center. One plane hitting the North Tower and the other hitting the South Tower. The third plane had crashed into the Pentagon taking out the western side of the building. The last and final plane was focused solely on taking out the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. but failed due to passengers of the plane coming hijacking it from the hijackers. The passengers attempted to take out the hijackers but sadly failed, crashing it into a field in Pennsylvania. Throughout the content of this paper, we will be focusing on the role of media when it comes to 9/11; more specifically: how the media's coverage of 9/11 manipulated our feelings towards 9/11, how it affected Islamophobia in America, and the lasting effects of 9/11.

On Sept. 11, 2001, A date that will live in infamy for Americans, terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City. At 8:48 a.m. flight 11 crashed into the north tower. As it continued to burn a second plane flight 175 carrying 65 people crashed into the south tower around 9:05 a.m.. as smoke and debris fill the air in New York City after one of the World Trade Center towers collapsed. Police officers and rescue workers on the disaster scene in New York are covered in Ash that was two to three inches deep in places. People wandered dazed and terrified, Several firefighters coated with dust sat on the ground gasping for breath. One top fire official was asked if both towers had completely collapsed: "You can see what I can see, " he responded. "We just have no idea." At least 202 firefighters and possibly up to 350 are missing,
Two months before the attacks, Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist organization were already people
The first plane, American Airlines flight 11, struck the north tower of the World Trade Center at 8:44 am September 11, 2001. (Wachtel 10)When many people first heard the news of the crash, they thought it was just an accident. Little did they realize that the hijackers intentionally crashed the plane. The north tower was one of two Twin Towers of the World Trade Center overlooked lower Manhattan. The smoke rising from the crash was incredibly thick so the people trapped above the impact point jumped to their deaths instead of facing suffocation.
For roughly two months before to the bombing, the plotters had gathered the materials they needed to create this explosive device. Living in New Jersey, the terrorists had rented a storage space where they staged an area to build the device and then loaded the bomb into a rented van...
First shock, then terror, followed by sorrow and lastly rage were my emotions on September 11th, 2001 when a hijacked airliner crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City. Tunh! Tunh! Tunh! All circuits are busy; please try again at a later time. This message kept repeating as I tried to call my cousin in New York, who was working in the South Tower. At the time the American Airlines flight 11 just moments earlier crashed into the North Tower. I sat in my house in shock and terror. Then at 9:05 am, about twenty minutes after the first collision, United Airlines flight 175 crashed into the South Tower. I began to feel the knot in my throat getting tighter and tighter until I just finally began crying. I still didn’t have any word from my cousin and when both of the buildings plummeted to the streets below, I thought for sure he was dead. When I returned home, my mother informed me that he had gotten out before the buildings went down. Turning on the television was another ordeal in itself. All of the news stations repeatedly exhibited the buildings plunging to the ground. I felt extreme sorrow for the families of those who had not made it out alive. They had to relive that horrible moment over and over again. I was also outraged. How could such an act be committed on American soil? The only way we can answer this question is to look at the terrorists who could do such an act and what possible reasons they have for doing it.
On September 11, 2001, twenty Arab men boarded four different airplanes with the intent of attacking our country. They boarded the planes with the intent of causing tremendous damage to New York City and Washington, D.C. Two planes crashed into each tower of the World Trade Center, one plane crashed into the Pentagon, and the last plane crashed into a Pennsylvanian field. These twenty men cut short over 3000 lives. The innocent people that died had no need to have their lives taken in the way that they were. However, they lost their lives because they were American, and to the terrorists, they stood for certain principles.
9/11 took a lot of lives. It was 8:45 Tuesday Morning. Two Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia high jacked an American Airlines Boeing 767 loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel. The first plane crashed into the North Tower of the world Trade Center. When they hit the building, it left a gaping, burning hole near the 80th floor of the 110-story skyscraper. When all this happened, it shocked everybody in New York and the whole United States. People that were in the building that plane crashed into, people started jumping out of the building from the 80th floor. So I know they died instead of trying to find another way to get out. The people that were watching the other people jump, they were freaking out. And as the people were jumping out of the building, the others were trying to find a way out. Some people were trying to get out by going down the stairway because the elevators were not working. Then a few minutes later, another plane crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Center. After the plane crashed into the South Tower, the North Tower collapsed. When the tower collapsed, everybody and everything that was around the World Trade Center was covered in dust. Everything looked Disastrous. While the Trade Centers were getting destroyed, another plane had flown into the Pentagon building in Washington D.C. Another plane was going to crash into the White House, but somebody on the plane stopped the high jackers. The reason why they were going t...
