The definition of global warming is the increase of the average temperature on the surface of the earth (Venkatarmanan 226). Our world has been gifted with the greenery, the water, the oxygen, and all life supporting elements in order to survive. One of the vital aspects of our habitable planet is the Earth’s life-supportive steady temperature. We are protected on the Earth’s surface by a layer of gases known as the atmosphere that extends up from the surface that slowly thins out into space. These layer gases are being compromised by global warming. The government should take global warming more seriously because the sea level is rising, the changes in weather, and it is negatively affecting Earth’s biodiversity.
The atmosphere temperature along with natural gases is the significant reasons why global warming could make half of the world’s inhabited areas too hot to live in. Fossil fuels are from natural resources such as coal, petroleum and natural gas, which are used for cars, planes, all modern products, and industrial chemicals. However, by burning fossil fuels, which release greenhouse gases can lead to trapping all the gases and heat within the atmosphere causing serious environmental problems. For example, Human activities such as driving a car will release greenhouse gases. Another example, the more electricity or energy is being used; the more carbon dioxide will release. With more carbon dioxide in the air, the earth’s temperature will keep increasing.
One of the biggest problems that are causing global warming is sea level rising. The heat of thermal expansion is melting glaciers and sea ice, which is resulting in the flooding of low-lying coastal areas and cities. The journalist Jennifer Weeks analyzes, “When the In...

...sity increased, and exotic species are dying. Humanity must act now to reduce of global warming. There are many ways in which humans can make small changes that will make huge differences if everyone contributes. Some of the changes necessary involve reigning in on deforestation. One solution is to stop producing carbon dioxide, by switching from oil or gas to renewable energy. Second solution is to plant more trees; therefore, the tree can absorb carbon dioxide to produce clean oxygen. Third solution would be to use less energy and recycle because using less electricity can produce less carbon dioxide. Regardless of whatever methods are utilized; the fate of the Earth depends on society realizing its mistake and takes responsibilities to create a safer environment. Let us take actions to build a new, clean, and peaceful world for ourselves and later generations.

- Global warming is increasing temperature amongst the Earth where climate change is constantly happening because it is affecting the oceans as well as the natural environments. The Earth is constantly heating up is very detrimental to human beings because chemicals are let off into the universe where the sun rays are trapped beneath the Earth’s surface and in the air. It is a natural recurring process that can lead to erosion and the issue is going unnoticed.
