Costa Concordia was a passenger cruise liner which on 13th January 2012 while navigating in the Tyrrhenian Sea the vessel was stranded on Scole Rocks at Giglio Island. The accident resulted in the death of 32 people, 157 persons injured and the total loss of the ship. From the official accident investigative report prepared and released by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructures and Transports on 27th of May 2013, it was established that the ship was navigating is a dangerous distance from the coastline, under Master's command. The above danger was identified behind time and every effort made to avoid grounding was fruitless. Immediately after collision the vessel lost her propulsion and electrical power. Following the above the water-tightness of the vessel was seriously affected and drifted by the wind and currents which were present in the area. Finally the vessel was heavily listed and grounded on the Giglio Island, which after few hours she partially sunk and rested on the sea bottom on her starboard side. According to accident report (2013) the root cause of the accident was determined to be linked with the human factor element. The report separates the accident in two (2) phases, the first is the unsafe navigational practice which resulted in the contact of the ship with the rocks and the second phase is the overall emergency management onboard and ashore. Concerning the first phase of the accident the report (2013) concludes that altering the course of the ship from a perpendicular to a parallel course close to shore proved to be a catastrophic decision. Imagine you’re peacefully sailing along on a giant cruise liner in the middle of the ocean. But suddenly, you feel a shaking and the boat starts to tip. But how could this be? This boat is supposed to be unsinkable. People run to the far side of the boat, trying to avoid impending doom. Panic sets in aboard the Titanic. There are many theories of the cause of this loss of life, but I believe that the primary cause of catastrophic loss of life on the Titanic was the poor communication between crew members because a critical iceberg warning was never delivered to the captain, the Titanic was traveling at full speed in an ice field, and the captain of the ship was very relaxed about the iceberg, making it not seem like a threat.
The Titanic was built to be unsinkable, with 16 watertight compartments to help keep it afloat. Many people called the R.M.S. Titanic “unsinkable”, because of how large it was. So there may have or have not been a splitting of the ship that led to a total structural failure that ultimately sank the ship. Given what we know about The Devil’s Triangle today, one may very well conclude that it was the not a natural disaster, given the notoriety of The Devil’s Triangle. So during all this time and while we speculate the unknown and search the deep mysteries . The Bermuda Triangle has claimed countless lives even though the reason is unknown. This unnatural occurrence of unexplained crashes is fact not fiction, not believing in the unknown is what got the Bermuda triangle ignored into the past today. This Phenomenon is not something that can be ignored its something that must be lived in order to be able to see the truth. I firmly believe that the Bermuda is real and it is not done claiming lives not now ,nor in the future. April 14, 1912, the Titanic set sail for a maiden voyage. Some of the people on board never thought that it would be goodbye forever. The Titanic was heading to New York City from Southampton, England. Why does the Titanic now lay at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean? Historians believe that the Titanic sank because of human error. They believe that it was Captain Smith, the lookouts in the crows nest, and Thomas Andrews fault.
The water temperature that night was below freezing. The wrought iron rivets that fastened the hull plates to the Titanic's main structure also failed because of brittle fracture during the collision with the iceberg. Low water temperatures contributed to this failure [Garzke and others, 1994].
Its purpose was to protect the hull of the ship, but whenever they were able to obtain it for investigation, it showed to be almost completely shattered (Bassett). This meant that yet another device for protection was made of poor quality material, and led the ship to its downfall. Had the whole body of the ship been covered with a higher quality metal, perhaps any damage to the ship would not have allowed for the same amount of damage that was seen and witnessed on that night.

The National Transportation Safety Board determines that the probable cause of this accident was the failure of the flightcrew to monitor the flight instrument during the final 4 minutes of flight, and to detect an unexpected descent soon enough to prevent impact with the ground. Preoccupation with a malfunction of the nose landing gear position indicating system distracted the crew's attention from the instruments and allowed the descent to go unnoticed.

In conclusion, the Titanic’s sinking is among the many great and tragic accidents to occur at sea. Not only was it the biggest and most luxurious vessel at the time, it was also the most ill-fated cruise ship as it sailed its first and last voyage. Along with the sinking, more than half of its passengers would be buried at sea. This introduced a new idea that people began to understand even the greatest technology is not perfect, and there is no such thing as an “unsinkable ship.” Its rediscovery and production of the movie years later would reawaken the desire to know all that happened on “that fateful night”. The Titanic will continue to lure people for generations to come, since every generation is able to take something different from its tragedy.
