Circuit Breakers are by far the best choice to use than Fuse Plugs due to they protect us from fires, damage to sensitive equipment and protection against electrocution. Circuits Breakers are easy to reset, can provide more convenient Ground-Fault Protection and save you money over time.
Circuit Breakers are easy to reset when blown because they only require a simple flipping of the switch. Resetting a Circuit Breaker is just like turning on a light switch. Fuse Plugs requires you to screw out the blown fuse and replace it with a new one each and every time. Circuit Breakers are also easier to distinguish in the dark due to the switch will trip in either direction. It is quite possible to reset a Circuit Breaker in the dark by a simple touch. In comparison, it is impossible to see a blown Fuse Plug in the dark without the use of a flashlight.
Circuit Breakers can be equipped with Ground-Fault Protection through addition of electronic trip units that act as a protective relay to detect a Ground-Fault and initiate a trip. This is great additional protection to circuits throughout a residence where outlet circuits are not protected with individual Ground Fault Current Interrupters (GFCI,s). This would prove handy in children’s room or in areas with sensitive equipment. Fuse Plugs by themselves cannot provide Ground-Fault Protection expect for relatively high-level Ground-Faults.
Circuit Breakers will save you more money over time because their life expectancy can last for years compared to a fuse that must be replaced each time that it blows. In addition the cost is more economical. For example, a single 20amp Circuit Breaker can cost $5.00 to $15.00 dollars. It can last many years before having to replace it. On the other hand a 4-pack of 20amp Fuse Plugs can cost $8.00 to $12.00 dollars which can prove costly if you have to replace them multiple times throughout the year.

In July, 2004 Doyle had called for a legislation to prevent massive power blackouts like the one that hit the northeast this past year. On August 14th, 2003, a major blackout swept across portions of the northeastern United States and Canada. It was reported that a series of equipment outages in the Midwest led to uncontrolled cascading outages of power transmission lines and generators serving parts of the Northeast, Midwest and Canada. Automatic protective systems operated to open circuits and shut down power plants to prevent further spread of the outages. This is very similar to what happened in The Great Northeast Blackout of 1965. AC and DC literally stand for Alternating Current and Direct Current. Direct Current is very convenient and is used in many modern day utilities. For a circuit with DC the current is constanly in one direction, while the voltage remains constant. However AC is called Alternating Current because the voltage changes from negative to positive a given number of times a second, this is also described as the frequency of the power. Hydropower also has many non-energy benefits such as water supply, flood control, navigation, irrigation, and recreation. Wind turbines are a great source of energy all around the world. Wind Turbines produce wind energy that can be used to power our homes. Wind turbines convert Kinetic energy into mechanical power. Then this mechanical power gets generated into electricity. Wind turbines make energy by the wind turning the large blades, which spin a shaft that is connected to the large blades, which then operates the generator making electricity. One new idea is building wind turbines offshore in the mid-Atlantic. Offshore building of wind turbines means that these large turbines will be placed in the Atlantic Ocean. The building of these wind turbines will provide energy to states like Maryland, Delaware, New York, Virginia, and New Jersey. These states want to start this project as soon as possible so that the states can start saving money. Since these regions right now are burning fossil fuels uncontrollably with incredible impacts (not only to our air, but to our health) it is crucial to start right away. Offshore wind turbines will provide more jobs, cut pollution, stop warming of our planet, and save us energy costs. These wind turbines can make enough energy offshore to power about 500,000 thousand homes. However, many people disagree with this idea because they believe it is too expensive.
