The American Dream to me is about fulfilling your dreams and going that extra mile to succeed at what you want. The American Dream is about having the opportunity to do all the activities you wish. The American Dream is about knowing your worth and having hope in something bigger than yourself. It is believing in yourself and having the freedom to do whatever you want. There is so much value to the American Dream, it is how bad you want it and how bad you want to be successful. Throughout the past, immigrants and women have had trouble with equality. Whether it was through school, work, or just in the average daily living; women struggled with getting paid equal to men and be capable to hold the same job title as a man. This problem has gone away, today, we are all equal. Women are no longer put on a metastable; they are equal to men and there no longer restraints to get the job you want. In the article “Women’s Equality Day”, it states that “today, more women are educated, celebrated and making a change” (May, Ashley). The American Dream has no limits and anyone can accomplish it, whether you started at the bottom or are already at the top; for some people, they grew up having the American Dream as a child and they only knew how to live that life, it was easy for them. Others, it is more difficult for them because they did not grow up that way.
