I do not want to live a life of complacency. To avoid this, I plan to pursue a career filled with ample opportunities for knowledge expansion. My short-term goal is to work for an innovative company which fosters an environment of constant learning. An example of this type of company is Toyota Motor Corporation. The Toyota Way stresses kaizen, or continuous improvement, which pushes Toyota employees, from CEO to individual line worker, to constantly reevaluate current processes in order to reduce waste and shorten overall time requirements. Numerous Toyota employees I have spoken with have told me that this requires one to constantly keep up with industry news and new innovations to find areas for improvement within the organization.
I love to solve problems and work well under stress. In the long-term my goal is to utilize these two qualities to do supply chain management-related consulting work in either the retail or manufacturing sectors in the area of crisis management. A graduate degree and a career in a related field will serve as two stepping stones toward achieving this goal. A substantial amount of industry specific knowledge will be required to do this type of work. I can achieve this level of knowledge through a combination of continued education and work experience.
For my senior capstone project, I am working in a five person group to create a comprehensive business strategy for the new arena being constructed in the downtown Evansville, IN area. Upon completion of this project, we will be presenting it to both those in charge of designing and those in charge of operating the arena. In a year-long entrepreneurship class, I was able to work with a small group to research and create a comprehensive business plan f...

...rs and competitive environment. The requirement to participate in some professional development seminars is one thing, but the option to participate in more than the requirement shows that the Walton MBA program is focused on developing the most well-rounded business professionals possible. Having come from a liberal arts undergraduate program this focus on well-roundedness is very important to me. This school also appears to be heavily focused on maintaining a competitive environment not only among individuals but within teams. The numerous competitions which teams have the opportunity to participate in should provide quite an advantage in the corporate world. Above all, the University of Arkansas provides an MBA program which is highly regarded in the business community and which would continue to provide an edge in an increasingly competitive business environment.
There are a lot of reasons why I chose to pursue pharmacy as my career and they all point to the most important reason: pharmacy is a great fit for my life and is something I have become increasingly passionate about. It started when I was researching careers with my parents and my dad suggested pharmacy and, simply put, it sparked my interest because at the time it was one of the few things I thought I would not hate doing. A healthcare career has always been where I put myself in the future, mainly because most of my family members are in the healthcare field. However, I have never been one that could directly help the wounded or deal with anything gory, but am very intrigued by the growing science of pharmacy. As I continue exploring pharmacy, the more I enjoy learning about it and feel like I could excel in this career.
Soaked under sweat, I stood on the running machine, took a deep breath, and counted in my mind, one…two… three, GO! With renewed power and confidence, I started to run again with satisfaction. This moment happened every day in last summer at a gym and I lost 62pounds. Had persisted for five months, I am so proud of myself that I am able to achieve the goal of losing weight and established high self-discipline. In addition, I have gained great appreciation for the challenges. However, I also have grown up from this, on the other hand, frustrated experience. Not because the process of losing weight was painful, but because my by-product of the weight loss journey, my online team.
Whoosh!A bed whizzed by, surrounded by about 6 medical personnel. “What’s going on?” I thought immediately with apprehension. I knew whatever was happening it was not ideal. Ensuring I was not in the way, I stood on my toes to see what demanded so much attention. To my astonishment, I saw a coin sized hot-pink little girl. She could not have been bigger than two quarters lying side by side. She was struggling! Even with all the procedures the doctors were executing to save her life, she was performing the most work.
My perseverance has prepared me for a career in medicine. The path towards becoming a physician can be long and challenging, necessitating the ability to endure. My ability to bounce back from setbacks and mistakes has solidified throughout my journey. One of the cornerstone experiences of my personal development occurred during high school. My determination led to me my graduating as valedictorian of my class, while balancing three varsity sports and several extracurricular activities. In addition, I worked on weekends to help support my family financially. This persistence resulted in scholarship awards that made higher education a possibility.
My decision to become a doctor did not come in a moment of blinding revelation, but as
The Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test (FCAT) is the statewide test that measures the academic achievement of public school students towards meeting the Sunshine State Standards benchmarks. The quarterly Reading and Mathematics Benchmark Assessment exams gauge student achievement on individual strands based on these Sunshine State Standards, which school districts require schools to administer to students within the appropriate content area. Teachers and administrators pour over the information at the conclusion of the exam and the data mining gets underway. The data is analyzed and scrutinized and teachers present their interpretation of the data to the administration to determine what modifications need to take place within their classrooms. The teachers, principal and school district utilize the data obtained from the Benchmark Assessments to determine the level of student achievement within the classroom and create a strategy that will target those benchmarks in which student performance was low. The vital issue with the data driven classroom is the effectiveness of the teachers and administrators at interpreting the data from these high stakes tests and constructing a successful plan that guides instruction based on the needs of the classroom, which continuously change.
Since the beginning of my academic endeavors, I have long cherished a dream to be a member of the social science research community, which gives our society progressive insights into human ecology. I began my undergraduate studies at Ramapo College of New Jersey with a passion for ecological justice and with the intention of majoring in environmental studies. Ramapo College’s progressive liberal arts foundation provided me with ample room to explore the multifarious array of social science courses. As I took more social science courses, however, my understanding of human social groups underwent a metamorphosis. As a result, I decided to pursue a degree in Social Science, with minors in the two fields I felt most passionately interested in, Women’s Studies and African American Studies.

In order to survive in the competitive environment of today’s business world, it is imperative for organisations to cope with uncertainty and unrest.
