If I was to pick one personal quality that I have, it would have to me the ability to influence the people around me in a positive way. The reason why I chose this particular quality is simply that it tends to help others get back on track before they get too far off. This relates to the person I am today because I tend to keep helping other students rethink their decisions and make better judgment calls. This quality makes me proud because I know that no matter what happens, I can be a positive influence to those around me which is a great thing, in my opinion, the reason why is because if a new student see me doing what I need to do it well probably influence them to do the same thing and graduate on time. A personal accomplishment that I am proud of is when I got all A’s throughout the school year and made the honor roll for the first time, the reason why this is an accomplishment because I never made the honor roll in any of my school years, this was major for me because I proved a lot of people who thought I could never get an A in school or even make the honor roll because of my past grade point average. …show more content…
Now a days its not common to accomplish something that you truly want to do and be proud of, so when someone does manage to accomplish something they took the time and truly worked hard and actually appreciated it. Disregarding my previous accomplishments, one accomplishment that stands out the most when I helped an adult stop smoking. This stands out to me because most adults try and give advice to the youth but we decide not to use it but when we give them advice they don't fuss or complain they actually hear us out and understand where we’re coming from and why we are coming to them about
After 12 hours of surgery, assisting in a large operation for a young guy with "Treacher Collins syndrome". It was aw-inspiring how the team of OMS approached the patient, constructing his orbits, grafting and correcting his dentofacial deformity. Although I was exhausted, but I enjoyed every second of the operation and felt really proud and I knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
Three of my best traits would be my humor, my dedication, and my passion. My first trait, my humor, I get told that my humor is unique or just really funny. My humor has helped me get past problems and help my friends in their time of need. My dedication is strong, especially in band. I have put countless hours of practice into my instrument, and it pays off. I love when you dedicate yourself to something, and after a while, you become really good at it. My passion is a big one. I have so much passion in helping others, though
One of the biggest accomplishments that I feel I have achieved is being a captain for my soccer team when I was in grade 9 (overseas). Back when I was in Ethiopia, soccer was one of the biggest things we loved growing up. Soccer was the only thing available as a sport in our school, so being a captain of a team was kind of a big deal. My time as a captain taught me a lot of things about what being in a position of power means.
My biggest accomplishment in my life would had been when I received my certification as a nursing assistant. The reason being, I had failed the first time; I passed the written part, but failed the physical task part. I was depressed for months - I didn't hang out with friends, hardly ate, and I didn't even feel the need to continue trying to get my certification. Sadly, during those depressed months, I had to wait until I was able to retake the physical which also costed me another $80 (no one wants to hand out that amount of money when you are already upset failing the first time). When I first received the news I had failed it was a terrible feeling, and I felt like a complete failure. Though, after retaking my physical and passing - I felt
A characteristic I chose was generosity. I chose this because it's super important to my mom and dads families. We lived in a community where giving is greater than keeping for ourself. My family has passed down generation's by generation to give away the first thing they ever make for the first time away to someone. Now they give away anything to people new to old or foods clothes and anything to anybody.
One thing that has shaped me into a better leader and has helped me change my
According to the strength finder survey, my five greatest strengths are: positivity , restorative, includer , adaptability, and responsibility (Gallup,2017). However, I knew I had the strengths of showing positivity and responsibility. I'm also ecstatic about finding out about the other three.

But there's one specific thing that makes me proud and that is good grades.I understand that I keep moving up grades and the work we have to do is harder like this essay but I like to get good grades. But as I grow up I realize that i'm not always going to have the best grades but i'm always going to try to get the best grades. I know my parents will always want me to do the best on everything. That includes football, baseball, and school. Good grades make me proud because I know there a sign of hard work for everything. I think grades help you drive to get better in life and they sorta show you something. At least that's what I think about grades. And that's why I will always try to get the best grades so can be
An activity and achievement in my life would be being the Academy of Health Professions . This experience was very meaningful to me , because I learned many things that I didn't know about health and many of the procedures that were
One personal accomplishment that I am proud of is the fact that I fostered a baby some time ago. The baby had the fetal alcohol syndrome and with the help of my wife, I was able to make a positive impact in someone’s life and be there for the child when he needed me the most. The process of becoming a foster parent was not in my plans, but due to the need to keep this baby within the family, I stepped in and became certified as a foster parent. The process was long and sometimes it was challenging to meet the demands of the Department of Children and Families; such as classes, interviews, and homework while working two jobs. At the end, the reward of having the chance to be helpful to a person in need made it all worth it.
One accomplishment that is important to me was landing a lead role and performing in my high school’s theatre production of “Annie”. I auditioned for the musical with the certainty that I was not going to land a part because I felt like my singing voice and my acting skills were not good enough, but I still auditioned because the theatre teacher asked me to since I was an extra in the previous musical and she knew I had some potential. Surprisingly I got a callback and landed a lead role. I felt proud of myself because I stepped out of my comfort zone and actually accomplished something by doing this.
I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person.
There were many instances in my life that have shaped my values, intellect, and academic or career goals. I was raised by my parents to become a hard worker, independent, and caring young adult. I was taught how to be all these qualities by a combination of experiencing and witnessing them first hand.
Throughout my high school career, I have been through many different activities, in and out of school. An activity outside of school in which I have been a part of was, having the opportunity to volunteer at the Cedar Bluff Branch public library. When I volunteered at the library, I had a leadership role for the first time of my life. My responsibility as a leader was making sure the books were straightened and nothing was out of order. Volunteering was a great experience for me, since it allowed me to become who I am today.
