They pray to Him for remorse and we pray for an reprise, Notre Dame Prep closed “Sister Act” with a bang! “Sister Act-the musical” is based off of the 1990’s movie “The Sister Act” starring Whoppi Goldberg as Delores. The synopsis of the show is that Delores must be put into witness protection until her court date arrives due to the troublesome fact that she witnessed a gang murder! Delores finds herself go through crazy experiences and gives up fame for family. A few particular moments that surpassed general expectations on stage; A demanding presence of the stage was executed beautifully by Olivia Aubele(Sister Mary Robert) and Noelani Won(Sister Mary Lazarus), Olivia successfully displayed her character’s transformation in a demanding way that was noteworthy, while Noelani a quite comical nun stood out with a smashing performance giving this old gal a spunky personality. On a more comical note, the brotherly trio of Jules Einhorn(Pablo), Alec Boorman(TJ), and Kevin Franiak(Joey) all portrayed each gang member in a different light of personality that brought many comedic moments to the show, especially the song “Lady in the Long Black Dress.” Finally an emotional charisma of Maddie Saldaña(Mother Superior) was interpreted excellently by Maddie, from her many solos to solitude scenes she mesmerized the audience with grace and confidence; as the head of the nuns she managed to take control in a calm, respective way. …show more content…
