Sharks has been categorized by a cartilaginous skeleton, which means they are a group of fish that have skeletons made up of cartilage, their tissues are more flexible and lighter than bones (DefendersOfWildlife, 2016). Research shows that there were more than 465 types of sharks in the ocean for the past hundred years, but unfortunately, sharks are in the danger of extinction today. This is mainly because of the slow reproducing and growing rate of shark, which leads to the dying rates are higher than the reproducing rates. Shark is killing mercilessly by human, and shark finning is the main cause of the huge loss of sharks. To be more specifically, shark finning is a practice where the fisherman removes the shark’s fins and throws its still alive body back to the ocean. Shark is most probably still alive when it is tossed back into the ocean, because of the disability to swim, they will slowly be completely die when the blood are all lost or be eaten alive by other fish. Sharks serve no purpose to humans other than being food. To illustrate, sharks that stay in the ocean will only eat other species of fishes and leads them to face the danger of extinction. This will cause the others population of fishes in the ocean to be lesser. Besides that, shark does not only attacks the other species of fishes but also human. According to the Australia’s report, the average number of shark attacks varies each year has expended in recent decades. In the1990s the average cases for shark attacking human was 6.5 each year, unfortunately it had been rising up to an average of 13 cases every year over the last decade (John.W, 2014).
