Salem Witch Trials and Modern “Witch-hunts When you think of Islams what do you think of. When you think of the salem witch trials what do you think of. History is very interesting but it can be hard to keep it from repeating itself. We could compare it to the Salem “Witch-hunt” and Islamophobia.. There are many Similarities and differences between the Salem Witch Trials and Islamophobia. This essay will be comparing and contrasting the Salem Witch Trials to Islamiphobia the problem with which we are dealing with right now. There are many similarities between the Salem Witch hunt and Islamophobia. This paragraph will list the similarities between these two subjects. One similarly between these two subjects is that both of these historical events were caused by fear. In the Salem Witch Trial articles it stated that the people were scared of there neighbors and the people around them. Not knowing if they were WITCHES or not. So to keep themselves safe, they would accuse people of being witches to make sure there was none. That was where the whole hysteria happened. In the Salem Trial and in Islamophobia, the people did what they did out of fear. That fear also lead to people being killed in both the Salem Witch Trials and Islamophobia. The articles also had differences. The time that the Salem Trials happened is hundreds of years ago, while Islamophobia is happening right now. Another difference is the amount of people that are affected by both. Islamophobia is all over the world and the Salem Witch Trials only affected the people in or close to Salem.
