Relationship between Height and Weight

Relationship between Height and Weight I am using the data from Mayfield high school as I am unable to use data from Nabwood School. This is because although the school has a database system, information regarding height and weight of year 10 and 11 students will not be accurate as it was taken when students came to the school in year 7, which was three or four years ago (if they are now in years 10 and 11). Therefore to try and update the database with the latest height and weight of year 10 and 11 students would be difficult and time consuming, and I do not have very much time to complete the investigation. Using a secondary source (Mayfield high school) which already happens to have accurate and up - to date data will be much easier to use but also will give more accurate results or conclusions to this investigation. The aim is to find connections, links, similarities or differences between heights and weight of boys and girls in years 10 and 11 at Mayfield high school. The sample which will be analysed is:- 29 Males in year 10 25 females in year 10 23 Males in year 11 23 females in year 11 These numbers have been taken randomly without any bias or unfairness. They were selected by simply and randomly giving each student in the whole school a number and then choosing 100 numbers out of the schools total population. I have decided to only use 100 students out of the schools total population as using the whole schools results would be much more time consuming and could make the investigation inaccurate, this is because the results are more likely to contain anomalous results and using large amount of data can lead to silly errors or mistakes. Another factor which could effect my over all conclusion is that the larger the amount of data there is the harder it is to plot or show this data on graphs and draw an accurate conclusion from it.
