Sure enough that if you study Jesus and seek Him, you will find Him, you will experience Him and have an encounter with Him. One of the things I’ve learned is that following Jesus is not just doing what He says, but also fighting for what He started 2000 years ago. This teaching imparted to me the most, and certainly changed my whole perspective about my Christian faith. That I’m not just part of a movement Jesus Christ had established, but I am part of a revolutionary movement. We as followers of Jesus Christ must stand firm for the gospel, to the Good News that was given to us through Jesus Christ no matter how tremendous our opponent may look like we must be strong and courageous. And for us to be successful we must prepare ourselves and do what was commanded to us, using the Bible as our weapon so that we can stand against the schemes of this sinful world. Second, I don’t want to live under Roman power and have the wicked ruler like Herod; also, I don’t want to be one of those people under Jewish tradition and under their worldly wisdom who lives with their aspirations and having expectations that shatter because reality doesn’t always match to what they expect. Life and teachings of Jesus also taught me about “The Story of God.” Honestly, I am guilty and so convinced that I am doing something wrong. I know for myself that I am just focusing on the “fail” and “redemption of Jesus” and neglecting the story of “creation.” Which I know for the fact that it is vital and essential to Christian faith and most of all the “restoration” that points out to “the Kingdom of God” that even Jesus was so focused on this matter, teaching about God’s kingdom most of the time.
