Teachers worry about their time being wasted while students are on break, they also have another big worry- getting the students to focus. Refocusing students can be hard, and teachers may worry giving students a break may cause problems. However, a much needed break can actually help students focus. Students’ attention spans are short and take time to absorb information for easy learning. Teachers think that allowing kids to go into the hallway is a mistake, because the students just want to be rowdy and mess around. Granted, there will always be an instigator in very class, but there are students that need the break and will use it wisely.
