After having three girls, I knew I wanted to be a better role model and to teach them how to be successful young women. That’s when I decided to go college and further my education. However, like any achievement I have endured struggles and have experienced set-backs that slowed the process of me achieving my goals. After being in a difficult a marriage then becoming a single mother, my daughters were my motivation to me to keep going.

My passion to help people has been a one of my motivation. I have helped take care of people ever since was a little girl. It started with me assisting my grandmother during her illness. I would help her with administering the medication she needed when she wasn’t able to administer them herself. It was during that time I decided I wanted to become a nurse. Throughout my life I helped take care of other family members and friend with illness, such as caring for my aunt who had rare cancer until she passed, assistance with caring for my grandfather who had Alzheimer’s disease. So coming from family who had many health issues motivated to complete my nursing degree. I love helping people …show more content…

I wanted them know that with good education you can accomplishment so many things in life. They can get good paying jobs and provide a great future themselves and their family. I want to show them that no matter what life throws at them, if they just motivated themselves and have faith in their abilities, they can be anything that they want in this world. I’m 46 years old still pushing towards my goal, a degree. Yes, I’ve had some set-back which forced me to take time off from school but I continued to work in the healthcare field because of my passion to help others. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for more than 20 years. I have a diploma in business management and my hope is to still become a nurse
