Most Memorable Vacation I remember my family's first vacation. It was on November 11, 2015 on the beach in a beautiful place called Puerto Peñasco in Sonora, Mexico. Family vacations are not something a family of seven have the luxury of taking when there’s other priorities, but I knew my family and I were in desperate need of one, especially this mommy of a 2-year-old. My sister in law had planned the family vacation with two purposes, our annual family trip and to give back to the children of Sonora. The community event was called “Christmas in November”. After extending our dollars and pinching our pennies, we saved enough to join this exciting family vacation! It’s midnight and this mommy is still washing, drying, packing clothes and beach towels. Our plan was to leave at 6am, but with so much to do, we didn’t hit the road until after 8am. Fortunately, the in laws were also running behind. With 4 hours on the road, we finally arrived to our destination, Playa Encanto in Puerto Peñasco. My eyes illuminated like a Christmas tree and I could not stop staring. We had the most amazing beach front house. It was an 8 bedroom, 5-bathroom home. …show more content…
We woke up, showered, packed and headed down stairs to have one last breakfast by the beach. After breakfast, the children went down to the beach to collect sea shell souvenirs, as the adults loaded the vehicles. Not wanting to end our vacation, my husband and I went out back to have a cup of coffee for an hour or so watching the children collect their sea shells. The time has come to leave the property and hit the road. Not knowing it was a popular vacation destination, we sat for hours waiting to cross the border with so many vehicles and motorcycles. In the meantime, we began to share things we loved about our vacation while we made it home in the next four hours. Hopefully we are able to have another trip like this again since it was an unforgettable best vacation
My grandparents had set this whole trip up and had originally planned on joining us on this vacation. Sadly, my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer a few months before we were going. She wouldn’t be able to stay with us for a week and risk anything happening. My grandmother gave me one of those I-hope-you-have-a-good-time-but-I-wish-I-was-going-with-you looks. Even though they couldn’t be with us right on the beach, we decided to bring some of it with us! We took plastic bags to the beach one day and put sand and shells in them to take back to my grandparents. Of course, many other souvenirs were bought for them as well, including a can of sun from the Shell Factory which was a really bright idea! I really wish they would’ve come to experience everything my family had done, but we are hoping once she gets better and cancer-free, we are going to go back with
I never predicted this beautiful trip ending up as a nightmare in my existence. I drove for approximately 40 minutes and my partner shared the driving for an additional 40 minutes. We were driving my friend mom’s brand new Toyota Camry XLE; one of the most comfortable cars I had ever been in. We enjoyed the elongated ride with new hit music, and air conditioning set to an exact temperature that met our necessities. On the way to the beach some doubts about going there started to circle around our minds, but the fact that we were about half way there made them a...
The next day we had pancakes that the hotel gives for breakfast. That was the best food I have had since the vacation has started. My family and I went to the beach right after that. The water was still cold, so I had to play with the sand. Instead of building a sand castle, I built a set of tunnel and stuff underground. Then, my little brother came and jumped on the tunnels and all of it fell down.
Disney world, Paris, Australia, Italy; all amazing places I’m sure, but I’ve never been. Although there is one place I have been to; it was none other than Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
It took little time to go there (the nearest beach is just in front of the hotel). We then ran to the beach passing through all the people that was already there. As we were getting closer to a vacant tend, we could smell the characteristic essence of beach (which is mainly because of the salty water). We contemplated the beautiful picture of the boats and windsurfers, with a big blue ocean in the background. Then we started eating some potatoes we had bought at the minimarket, which was located next to our hotel. We had also bought some sodas, which we drunk while we feed the seagulls near to us. After a long day having fun at the beach, we observed the beautiful sunset at 6pm. And finally, decided to come back to our
We walked around San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico a little. Then we went to the ferry that was taking us where to Culebra. It was about 1pm by now. The ferry ride was about an hour and a half long ride. It was raining a little so we couldn’t sit outside of the boat and see the view. I ended up falling asleep for about half the ride. When we finally got to Culebra, we were so happy. It wasn’t raining anymore, the sun was out, and it was beautiful. At the time we didn’t have car so we were kinda stuck there. After a half hour of calling places to see if they had any cars for rental we finally found a place. We rented two big black jeeps for the next 10 days. When we got the cars and we could drive them around, we drove up the mountain to the house we were staying at for the
What kind of person does it take to risk everything she has and take a chance that could change her life forever? It would be a chance that could affect her physically, mentally, and financially. Most people would keep what they had and had worked for rather than risking it all. In The Bean Trees, by Barbara Kingsolver, Taylor Greer took a journey to get away from the small-town Kentucky life that she has known forever. She drives west, not knowing where she is going, but that she has to get away. Throughout Taylor’s journey, Kingsolver showed how Taylor changed, grew, and thrived both physically and mentally as time progressed.
Summer vacation are days without school work, homework, not stressing over a test. Mostly everyone takes the opportunity to explore new adventures or to enjoy the beautiful blue waves, walking through the warm sand. In summer of the year 2012 my sisters and me went to Reynosa, Tamaulipas. Reynosa is located in Mexico, it has good places you can visit. Therefore, its rare that people from United States goes for unreasonable reasons. If people would go its for cheap merchandise and cheap doctor visits. In that year Reynosa was known for all bad things such as, people being cruel and children that lived there would smoke or drink beer because it was all handed to them. The bad people would kidnapped children ages seven and
My family took a trip to Minnesota, and man did that trip create some memories! The trip up north went very smoothly, no issue at all. The place we were staying was an adorable two story house right on the lake with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a very spacious living room and kitchen, a deck with a view of the lake, and a screened in porch. The lake was orange due to all of the iron in the ground but it was beautiful, like a sunset.
Our imperative family tradition was a summer vacation. Completely neglecting any responsibilities for a week, vacations were the perfect excuse. Fostering an environment for bonding, our annual vacations helped in creating lifelong memories. According to a Disney Time Survey conducted by Kelton, 82% of time on vacation is considered family time. This finding is evident, especially in one of my recent vacations. The months preceding and following this specific family trip, were filled with various milestones which prohibited much bonding: my mother’s diagnosis of Lung Cancer, my older sister’s wedding day, and my senior year preparation. If it wasn’t for our last hurrah, we may not have been able to successfully sit the needed amount of time
My favorite summer vacation was when my Father took me to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What made it even more memorable was the fact that it was my very first time on an airplane. I cannot recall another time in my life when I experienced so much joy. That trip to Universal Studios was the first time my Father and I actually did something together, just the two of us and was something brought me close to my Father. In this essay I will tell you about my plane ride over there, what I did right when I got there, and about my time at Universal Studios.
Now we had to make the long trip back to Mrs. Tina’s house. It was such a long day, and we were extremely tired so we decided to skip dinner. We took showers, put on our pajamas, brushed are teeth, and went to bed. Over the next few days we went to the beach, had picnics in the park, went bike riding and skating, and took a trip to the mall. We had such a fun week, but now it was time to go home. So, we thanked Mrs. Tina and her family for being so generous and welcoming to us. We told them that they would have to come visit us so we could return their kindness they showed us. So, we gave them hugs and kisses and we headed back to Las Vegas.
I used to spend the last part of my summer vacation with my uncle and aunt. As a continuation of a long-ago-established tradition we decided going to York - a small, picturesque tourist town at the seaside, located in the southeastern part of Maine. On the 27th of August, early in the morning we went to my uncle’s car with the entire luggage, prepared to leave and spend a nice, relaxing vacation, far away from the problems of the city. Unfortunately the unpleasant surprises started from the first second of our vacation. To our great disbelief the two front tires of the car were missing, and as later became clear, stolen during the night so at this moment the car was lying on the pavement, like a big wounded animal. I remember that my aunt said that this ought to be an omen of bad luck, warning not to go against your destiny and luck. After several hours repairing the car we, eventually, headed on, ready, for what turns to be the worst vacation in my entire life.
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
My time in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was one of the best times in my life. I never thought that I would end up in such a wonderful country miles and miles away from my family and my home. Every day I learned something new about this city and along with this, I also learned things about myself.
