My Lake Trip

My family took a trip to Minnesota, and man did that trip create some memories! The trip up north went very smoothly, no issue at all. The place we were staying was an adorable two story house right on the lake with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a very spacious living room and kitchen, a deck with a view of the lake, and a screened in porch. The lake was orange due to all of the iron in the ground but it was beautiful, like a sunset. On the first day we got there, we took our boat on Crane Lake for a nice joy ride. We were on our way back to the house when, Bam! We hit an unmarked boulder in the water. My sister, Kaily, flew so high into the air we almost swore she should have ended up in the water. There were at least 100 movies there waiting for me to watch, it was like my own little movie theater. There was steam shower that I used almost every night. There was a lot of board games to play; I played checker all the time. A well equipped kitchen that was a lot of fun to cook in; I spent a lot of my time cooking soupy mac and cheese. The screened in porch was facing woods so we can sit outside to enjoy the outdoors without being eaten alive. We were able to hear the bugs swarm around the porch. Aside from the horrifying bugs, you are able to feel the cool breeze seep through the screen and fit the skin. It did not take too long for my dad to change the tire. We were back on the road in no time. About two or so hours later my mom saw something in the rear view mirror fly from the boat trailer. So we took the next exit off the highway to see what was going on. Our spare tire was shredded and only the tube was left. We were screwed. We did not have an extra tire. We were stuck on the side of the road. It was horrible, at least there was no more bugs swarming us. All of sudden an angel came to save us; a road side assistance truck pulled up behind us to see if we needed help. Thank the Lord he came. He told us that he did not have the size tire we needed but there was a shop about 30 minutes away that has the size we need. When the man left, my dad realized that the fender was bent which caused the tire tread to shred. My brother, Evan, realized that we were pulled over next to a pond and started making jokes about how we could catch more fish in there than we did at Crane Lake. We joked around a lot more about the trip, which helped pass time. In the end we still all wanted to get home as fast as
