“Guess what…” my mom said to me, my sister, and my sisters friend. “What?” we all said with joyment not knowing what she was gonna say next. “Were going to Puerto Rico!” my said mom and dad said. We were all so excited and but we didn't know what or where it was, “Puerto Rico is an island off the coast of Florida.” my mom explained to us. “The island has clear water, many beaches, and we have to take a plane to get there!”. I had never been on a plane before so I was even more happy. We talked about it some more, and looked up ‘Culebra, Puerto Rico’. We were going for 10 days and we were leaving in a month. I would miss a couple days of school and so would my sister and her friend. A month went by of us packing, getting ready, and us counting down the days until we left for Florida and then Puerto Rico. The day came that we were leaving for Florida. We were in the car for 5 hours. We finally got to the hotel and we went to dinner. After that, we went to the pool and then we went to our rooms and went to sleep. We woke up at 5:30am, we ate breakfast down in the lobby, and drove to the airport. We walked around San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico a little. Then we went to the ferry that was taking us where to Culebra. It was about 1pm by now. The ferry ride was about an hour and a half long ride. It was raining a little so we couldn’t sit outside of the boat and see the view. I ended up falling asleep for about half the ride. When we finally got to Culebra, we were so happy. It wasn’t raining anymore, the sun was out, and it was beautiful. At the time we didn’t have car so we were kinda stuck there. After a half hour of calling places to see if they had any cars for rental we finally found a place. We rented two big black jeeps for the next 10 days.
