Why do you believe you should be in Mortar Board? I should be in Mortar Board because I am always searching for organizations and experiences that will help me grow personally and professionally. I believe that every organization I am a part of enables me to develop new skills and foster current traits. I truly believe that Mortar Board will help further develop my scholarship, leadership and philanthropic traits. In addition to being a three sport athlete, I participated in both travel soccer and swimming leagues. It was throughout these years that I found my passion for leadership. I strove to be a leader on and off the field. I served as the varsity captain for all teams, aiming to be a role model for my teammates in all aspects of my life. Zoe is a very great attentive student. She is a student whoholds a lot of valuable pronciples from her Haitian-Cuabn culture. The monment she enters the building she greets people with respect. She always says good morning and refers to all staff and her peers by their name. Zoe always comes to school in a positive attitude. I have yet to see her upset which allows me to believe she is good in toning her emotions or personal life outside of school grounds. Outside of school she is always busy between homework, family and tutoring at the SCO Family Services program in Downtown, Brooklyn. By the end of her long day she is exhausted but yet a smile is always on her face giving no sinces of anger or worries.if I was to describe Zoe’s emotional tone or color it would be lavender. She is calm, soothing to me around but ye keps firm.she had a bright future a head of her. Between the classes I have observed her in she is always energetic, cheerful and strong minded. Cheerleading has made a huge impact on my life and has created many opportunities for me. It has paved the way for my high school career. Cheerleading provided me with opportunities to lead, volunteer, perform and show the athletic ability of our squad.
I want to be in ASB because I think that this is a great opportunity for me to practice my leadership skills to help all students at Medea Creek. I enjoy helping people and working with others and I know that ASB is a wonderful chance for me to do so. I was the captain of my robotics team for 5 years in the tournament called FLL. Through the five years my team has progressed pass the regional tournament against 8+ teams every year winning at least 2 awards at regionals. We have gone to the James Madison University competition and won 3 awards at that tournament against many teams from all other states. We did not have the chance to advance to worlds tournament, because we aged out of the tournament, but now I am in my school team in the next level of robotics hoping to use my past experience to do even better. In group projects at school as well, I like to become a leader, so that I can take control, but through my taking control I am able to let people who are quiet or shy a chance to talk and give ideas.
