Dear (insert name),

We, as a family, are so excited to reach out to you and share a little bit about what has been going on in our lives recently and also share about an exciting opportunity we have this upcoming June. We thought we would sell our home and downsize, but we took our home off the market last fall because I had a heart attack and was on disability for several months. I am doing fantastic, but we have had a lot of time to ponder life, draw close to God and as a result, we want to share our faith with others.

This past August, Donna started a theology class through the church we attend here in Austin, Texas called the Austin Stone. The class has been an amazing growing experience for her in her walk with Christ. She delved into topics including God’s attributes, the Trinity, election, God ’s providence, sin, the order of salvation, and so much more. We’ve studied about and have been challenged in the spiritual disciplines, and we have read and memorized Scriptures. In addition, Joe (16 now), took a dual credit class on worldviews. The Mission of Hope is located on 100 acres of land 20 miles north of Port Au Prince. They employ over 400 Haitians, educate over 6000 children in their schools, provide medical care to over 1,500 from surrounding villages each week and ensures that 91,000 children throughout Haiti receive a hot meal at school each day! Incredible! This is a great mission trip to serve. Due to our love for Children’s Ministry throughout our adult lives and for Joe’s entire life. We will be going with Donna's employer and his family to assist with several construction jobs as he is a contractor. We will also help to meet both the physical and spiritual needs at an orphanage and a medical
