Krypton is a very cool element, I mean come on it forms a hard crystal called “kryptonite” that hurts superman and could possibly kill him. As you read this essay it will discuss the discovery of the element, what it looks like, the common uses of it and where it is commonly found, why my element is interesting, and how the people who read this essay will remember the element Krypton. First it will discuss, the discovery of the element.
The discovery of the element Krypton is quite interesting. Two chemists came upon the discovery and those two are: Sir William Ramsay, who is from Scotland, and Morris M. Travers who is from our homeland. This element was founded on May 30, 1898. The way that those two came upon the element Krypton was that they first found the elements Argon and Helium. From using their common knowledge they figured that there had to be some elements between those two on the periodic table, so they did a ton of experiments and through trials and trials they came up with a couple more elements and one of those elements was Krypton. Causing the element too not have a specific shape. We see Krypton everyday but it’s a gas so we are unable to see it. The only time that we can see it is when electricity mixes with the Krypton. The characteristics of Krypton are: colorless, odorless, and it has no taste. I understand how in the movie “Superman” that they came up with the “planet” “Krypton” because Krypton is commonly found in space. It is commonly found in meteorites and also minerals.
