The people of Earth should be more grateful than angry because they have been saved by Superman, a heroic icon. The destruction did not happen in everyone’s backyard. The destruction only happened only in two locations which was Metropolis and Smallville, Kansas. The people of Earth should celebrate superman because he was the only being who was able to defeat General Zod. The destruction of businesses, areas, and towns happened only in certain places. The chaos could have been more devastating if superman was not able to beat General Zod, which would have resulted in planet earth being blown up and the extinction of the human race. In the movie The Man of Steel, the destruction happened in certain places, like Kansas and Metropolis. In Kansas where Superman grew up on a farm with his earth parents Johnathan and Martha Kent sustained damaged to alien ships and government equipment, for example the drone. The farm house also had the family vehicle thrown into it, which also caused damage. The town where Superman was raised had damage done to it, the gas station blew up and the trains that were on the railroad tracks …show more content…

Superman discovered his foreign origin throughout the movie The Man of Steel. He was from a place Called Krypton that was destroyed because the people were stealing energy from the planets core which made it unstable. He knew he had to save planet earth from the same fate as his home planet and it needed to be done in order to save the human race and his family which now was all of America and earth. He may have been from a different planet but he was American. For example, he said “I am from Kansas, you can’t get more American than that.” The people of earth should make superman a national treasure for what he did, it took bravery, sacrifice, courage, and valor.
