The Holocaust is one of the worst events for the Jewish community in Europe. German dictator, Adolf Hitler is blamed for having started the Holocaust, which saw more than ten million people killed with about six million being Jews. Hitler was known to be a very anti-Semitic person, meaning he was very against the Jewish people. Though Hitler was a major part of the cause of the Holocaust, he is not the only reason; others can be seen to have also started the Holocaust like the use of propaganda, the anti-Semitism attitudes, and the economic problems in Germany.

Hitler supported the racial anti-Semitism against the religious anti-Semitism which was the hatred that was directed towards the Jews who did not want to be converted to Christianity. Racial anti-Semitism on the other hand was the hatred directed towards anybody who could be traced back to a Jewish lineage even if the person in question was practicing Christianity. Hitler is known to have facilitated the creation of the Jewish ghettos, burning of the businesses belonging to the Jews and distributed 'The Protocols of the Elders of Zion', a book that claimed that the Jews were out to take over the world. The teachings of propaganda convinced Germany that Jews were a unscrupulous people and they needed to be taken out of this soon perfect world. The Nazis armies would bring groups into concentration camps or work camps to free the “good” from the “bad”.There were also other groups of people which were murdered because of their political, behavioral and ideological grounds. Groups included the Socialists, communists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the homosexuals. The Holocaust was a horrible event that still affects us today in a way that were still remembering it. The impact was positive, but the event was the opposite. The extensive affect that the Holocaust has had on our world is that the horrible things that happened help to show us now that we should not blindly follow politicians, even if some think it is the best for them, that the world needs to follow people who know what their doing will help everyone. The world also knows now not to ignore the wars and the people rising to power and to take a stand against them to lead a prosperous world. The world could have been less alert, knowing what could happen, if the Holocaust never happened. It can be compared to the Nazi ideology of National Socialism in Greece.
