The holocaust was a place of terror, violence, selfishness and exploitation. Hitler used a couple of tactics to rise to power such as propaganda, fear and scapegoat. Hitler started to campaign against the Jews and mainly used the Jews as a scapegoat. He started to slowly get Germans on his side and because the country wasn't doing so well economically, they blamed it on the Jews. The Germans quickly followed Hitler and blamed the failures of the country on the Jews to make themselves look better. This is what a scapegoat means. What he did was push his ideals on other people ultimately to kill six million Jews. Hitler was able to campaign against the Jews and create false ideals about them. Hitler convinced the German people that the economic crisis was actually caused by the Jews and that they alone could provide the only fix to these dangerous rats. Through hard work and dedication, Hitler was able to build an army of people that saw the world through his eyes. His people followed what he said without question and did exactly what he said to do. He did this by using the tactic of scapegoating. Through this tactic, he blamed the economic crisis on the Jews and his people followed blindly. Another place we can see how Hitler uses tactics to benefit his society and not people's needs is through propaganda and the spread of fake information. Through this tactic, Hitler is able to rise into power and manipulate people into believing into his ideals. Propaganda is a form of communication that shapes the way people think of others. The message is usually prejudiced and biased Hitler implemented propaganda so he could indoctrinate his people through media. He did this by writing a book called Mein Kampf. He communicated all of his ideas about racism, antisemitism and socialism. Hitler came to power in 1933 and launched something called the Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. The reason for his was to take head of the Nazi party and have messages go through him. One of Hitler’s messages was to reinstate order through fighting Germany's enemies. His ideals lined up with much of Germany who were suffering from lots of issues in that time. Such as: poverty and past effects from World War I.
