The advantage Hootsuite has against many of their competitors is that it is compatible with 35 different social media platforms such as: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Foursquare, Google+, LinkedIn, etc. When using Hootsuite you can post the same content across multiple social media sites at the same time. Many users can have access to Hootsuite’s management tools, which makes this convenient for large teams. The account administrator can authorize task to different members, upon login they will be notified. To help respond back faster, pre written answers or comments can be created to respond back to frequently asked questions or statements. On one dashboard you can have single click replies to mentions, comments, or messages. Hootsuite’s analytics platform is called uberVU and you can filter by location, language, and gender. When Twitter obtained the website in 2011, they eliminated the ability to manage any other social media sites. On TweetDeck’s dashboard you can make columns to manage different things like: mentions, likes, followers, messages, hashtags, etc. Posting tweets are almost as identical as using regular Twitter; you can only use 140 characters, and have the option to add pictures, videos, and links. With TweetDeck, users can schedule certain dates and times when they want tweets to be posted, and to what account if they have multiple ones. However, you cannot schedule tweets that have more than one image attached to them. “TweetDeck itself offers nothing by way of analytics, but the free Twitter Analytics platform (sort of) has you covered on an account by account or individual tweet basis” (Quillfeldt, 2016).
