Nowadays, entrepreneurship becomes most popular career, where our government encourages our graduated student to involve in business so that unemployment will not happen in our country. Policymakers, academics, and researcher agree that entrepreneurship is a vital route to economic advancement for both developed and developing economics (Zelealem et al., 2004). Entrepreneurship has many types for example small business and others. Today small business, particularly the new ones, is the main vehicle for entrepreneurship, contributing not just to employment, social and political stability, but also to innovation and competitive power (Thurik & Wennekers, 2004).
In Malaysia entrepreneurship become most important part, which is its help to growth of Malaysia economics. The intention to becomes self-employed it is depends on individual perception of desirability and feasibility in relation to starting a new business. Student perception such as ‘can I want to do it’ or ‘do I have the resources to do it’ is important role to student choose self-employed as career after graduated, because student should have knowledge and resources to build a new business.
Entrepreneurships can be two ways whether it is by individual intention or entrepreneur taking by family firm. Based on Kuratko (2005) asserted that an entrepreneurship intention can be developed in ad individual since it is related to the individual characteristics of seeking opportunity, taking risk, and giving tendency to push an idea through. 2) To know what factor that influence student to choose self-employment as their career.
1.4 Scope of study
This research focuses on the particular part which is student self-employed intention towards on business and the risk of business in Malaysia. The selected respondents are student faculty of economic and business at UNIMAS. Researcher chooses these respondents because researcher wants to investigate how many students would like to build their own business. In addition, researcher chooses students UNIMAS because it make easily to collect data also can identify how much student from faculty economic and business choose self-employed as career after graduated.
I want to own my own business in the future. If I decide that I do not want to own my own business, it is a decision that is reasonable for me. I can work for someone else’s company or business. If I want to get a higher position or I decide to follow through in opening my own business, I will able to do that because I’ll have experience in something very general and essential but without it being specific.

With the growth in the country’s economy as well as improvement in technologies and facilities, more and more employment opportunities are available. Although with the positive and steady pace of its development, increasing number of graduates has flooded the job market making it hard to find employment in both public and private sectors. This has led to students take up entrepreneurship after graduation to create their own source of livelihood.
There are several theories has been developed by different scholars for entrepreneurship development since couple of decades. A consistent universal theory does not present in entrepreneurship, but rather it contains of several approaches such as economics, psychology, sociology, anthropology, regional science. All theories has explored the rationality with the emergence of new entrepreneurs and theirs contribution in socio-economic development of a country (Sexton, 1997). Many of these studies assume that all entrepreneurs are similar including the owner of small enterprises and high growth innovative ventures. The following section some of theories explained and finding the literature gap and selecting the appropriate theory for this study.
Studies show that both educational and structural support factors influence the entrepreneurial intention of students however that alone does not guarantee success. College degrees in business majors and training programs possibly may not transcend genes and its history component and it is possible that education in itself presents to a degree to which the discipline of entrepreneurship is learnt. One must therefore have an “entrepreneurship personality” (Drucker 1985).
Entrepreneurship - a special kind of activity. Its constant conditions are limited resources, competition and uncertainty of the situation. The main tools of the entrepreneur are: thrift, cooperation and innovation. While Kirby (2003) has argued that entrepreneurship is far broader than these concepts mentioned above. Not all owner-managers can be considered as entrepreneurs, nor are all small business entrepreneurial (Carland et al., 1984). Carland also has argued that entrepreneurial small business is aiming at profitability and growth, and the business is regarded to be innovative.
Many people dream of becoming entrepreneurs someday. But it made me realize that there other factors that needs to be taken into consideration. We need to ask ourselves are we ready to take the challenge to the outside world. Not everyone have the vision, innovation and creativity to become an entrepreneur. The individual must have a positive attitude and accept the responsibility, have discipline to meet their goals, and take action when the opportunity presents itself. Many prefer a job security and rely on a weekly paycheck, while entrepreneurs will take risks and doesn 't have that luxury to know the amount of their income.
