1. WHY? Develop your "why". As an entrepreneur, not all times you have in business will be perfect. In fact, there will be many, many difficulties along the way. However, if you can develop your why, you can achieve success. Your why must be this personal, passionate, emotional drive that keeps you going, when the world tells you to give up. It is the reason you commit and work so hard. Pushing on when it seems all the odds and world is against you. Your "why" becomes your driving will to wake up and do it again tomorrow.

Persistence. Persistence in the face of opposition. It is easy to be passionate when life and business is good. You will have the perfect mindset and attitude. I have learned that success must be earned. Motivation is keyed in the success. Most people who are very successful (Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, Bernie Madoff, Etc.) are very motivated with their successful business. Angela Duckworth did a Ted Talk about grittiness and how it ties in with being passionate. I think that success also goes in with it. I agree that grittiness is almost identical with being passionate. Duckworth also mentions another thing about growth mindset, which was in Carol Dweck’s article “Brainology”. Andy came from a family that didn’t have much. As a child, his parents struggle to find a home and lived in his father’s brother garage. Both his parents are immigrants and didn’t have an education, so they never in courage Andy to do well in school. Years later, his father got a trucking job and made enough to afford a home. Andy is a high school drop. He went homeless for about 8 months because his father kicks him out of his home.
